The Minister for the Environment, caught appallingly flatfooted as Jack demolished her stance on 1 use plastics, started defending the plastics industry, as if she was their fucking spokesperson and not, you know, the Minister for the Environment!
Penny Simmonds defending the plastics industry after getting busted being a puppet for the their interests, is at least an honest response I suppose.
But a Minister for the Environment defending plastic is a bit like the Minister of Health championing cancer.

Apparently, according to her, the jury is still out as to what caused excessive nitrate levels to pollute and exceed safety levels of Gore drinking water recently…..despite every other case around the country where the cause has been cows pissing and shitting onto ground where fissures run deep into the aquafers….
Yet another lying minister on the crown clipping the taxpayer ticket. …You could tell by her foot movement that she was lying.
And what with the protecting of Fonterra allowing them to sell yogurt in plastic containers still….apparently Fonterra a can’t, or can’t be arsed, to come up with an alternative…. so they get to keep on polluting.
Well France have plenty of alternatives when selling their yoghurts and none of them involve plastic…you can buy them in either a small hard cardboard pottle or a small glass pottle….both are recyclable …. Why isn’t Simmonds pointing this out to Fonterra and reading them the riot act??…Like …swap to these containers or we are taking your product off the shelves! ..By order- Environment Minister.
