113 more killed and 534 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in another 113 dead and 534 wounded. Civil Defence crews retrieved five more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged property, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 59,219. The total wounded is now at least 143,045. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 90 and, that of those injured, is more than 218. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Israeli Army attack – youngster killed 1 resident wounded: Jenin – 16:40, Israeli Occupation forces stormed the town of Qabatiya, shooting and killing a 16-year-old youth, Ibrahim Majed Ali Nasr, and wounding one other person: Mahdi Ahmed Mahmoud Kamil.

Israeli Army attackshome invasions and occupation: Tulkarem – Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, continue to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, invading homes and turning some of them into military posts.

Israeli Army attacks on 2 hospitals1 wounded 3 taken prisoner: Nablus – 23:15, the Israeli Army raided the city and invaded two hospitals, the Rafidia Government Hospital and the Arab Specialised Hospital, wounding one person, Kamal Shihab Yousef Shihab, and taking prisoner three others.

Israeli settler attack: Nablus – 13:20, armed Occupation settlers briefly opened indiscriminate fire from their motor vehicle, in an area of Beita, and then stormed off.

Home invasion and forced personal demolition: Jerusalem – 11:00, the Israeli Occupation forced a woman, Sabiha Shakirat, to demolish her home in the Jabal al-Mukabir neighbourhood, or otherwise be forced to pay an extortionate sum to the Israeli Occupation demolition squads, who would be sent in to do it.

Home invasions and robbery: Jenin – 02:35, Israeli forces raided homes in the village of Nazlat Sheikh Zeid and robbed householders of large amounts of cash and gold jewellery.

Home invasions: Tulkarem – 23:30, the Israeli Army raided the town of Bal’a and searched three homes.

Home invasions – 1 taken prisoner: Tulkarem – 02:10, Israeli troops raided the town of Attil, invaded an apartment building and took prisoner a resident.

Home invasion: Hebron – 04:45, the Israeli military raided the town of al-Dhahiriya and searched a house.

Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.

Israeli Army violence injury and hospitalisation: Nablus – 14:35, Israeli Occupation troops, at the Deir Sharaf checkpoint, severely beatup and hospitalised a man from the nearby refugee camp: Moamen Mustafa Hussein Abu Jalda.

In 1947/1948 His father explained to him what was happening to the Palestinians thus: “Any ideology or political movement that creates refugees in the process of realising its ambitions must be inhuman and should be opposed and condemned as unacceptable.” What followed confirmed this assessment of the Zionist entity a hundredfold. Now a retired flamenco guitarist, with a lifelong interest in the tragedy of what happened to the Palestinian people, he tries to publicise their plight.
