Wait? WHAT! Taxpayers’ Union who were instrumental in redneck attack on 3 Waters now complaining about the rates rises that has caused?

How dumb are Kiwis?

The Taxpayers’ Union, funded by dark Ag money and driven by tactics from the Atlas Network, convince you all that 3 Waters was an existential race war when in reality it was Labour’s attempt to lower water infrastructure costs to you on top of aligning with Court rulings on Māori interests in water.

After convincing you Da Maaaress was stealing da water, the cost has bounced back onto you while the Taxpayers’ Union who helped trick you now scream about the predictably higher rates you are all now facing!

It’s the same line from National…

…how easily led are you muppets?

Of course the Astroturf Right at the Taxpayers’ Union are turning on Local Council and blaming them for the extra costs Central Government have forced upon them!

The Astroturf Right at the Taxpayers’ Union want to deconstruct local democracy to ensure their donor mates can build whatever they want in the Community.

What Local Councils actually need is more central Government funding!

No one wants to talk about the true reason we have crippling roading gridlock and explosive rents because in New Zealand we only focus on the symptoms and never the underlying problem.

The problem of course is mass immigration and no taxing of the rich to pay for the infrastructure required to cope with that mass immigration.

The Woke Left view any discussion of migrants that isn’t positive as xenophobia so the Left can’t talk about the underlying problem of mass immigration or risk getting cancelled and the Right benefit from exploiting migrant labour because our country is addicted to a low wage economy, so they have no interest in mentioning it.

On a burning planet, we need degrowth Capitalism using Think Big Economic Sovereignty to make NZ sustainable.

What we get offered up is globalist free market mantra. Both National and ACT see throwing open the immigration flood gates as the solution to tepid GDP growth.

It’s what Key did for 3 terms and it inflated GDP while causing infrastructure gridlock and skyrocketing rents.

The reason we have a vast under investment in water infrastructure is because Local Government won’t upgrade a system put under immense stress by Central Government’s open door immigration policy and low wage economy addiction.

Suburban home owners are fine with this mass immigration policy and infrastructure gridlock because it pushes up the untaxed house valuations they have gotten used to gaining year in and year out.

Neither Central Government nor Local Government want to have an honest discussion with voters about higher water rates and higher taxes.

Someone has to come up with the $150billion over the next 30 years to keep up with the expected population growth from the mass immigration policies of both Labour and National.

ACT and National point to the labour shortage pain crippling our economy and pretend importing cheaper labour is the solution when that was the problem in the first place!

We are addicted to hyper tourism, property speculation and a low wage economy by using international labour flows.

We have become so blinded by free market mythology we refuse to acknowledge short sighted lazy immigration and a user pays view of essential services has caused the issues we have now!

We are addicted to a low cost labour force and force our domestically trained teachers, nurses and Drs offshore to repay the student loans we saddle them with!

The bitter harvest of user pays is biting us now and all the right have to offer as a solution is more cheap labour, crippling public transport and an extension of user pays!

Congestion charges and Tolls are a means to privatise the roads so that only the wealthy can afford to drive on them.

Without massive investment in free public transport, putting in privatisation models that create a gated community user pays culture over roads the taxpayer has paid many times over for is a political crime against the poor!

The rise in your rates is generated by the Government’s privatisation agenda, dismantling council isn’t the solutions you fools, funding them properly is!

  1. We need to stop migration right now today .When every unemployed or under employed person has a 40 hr a week permenant job we can look at it again .We are over populated for the services we have .We have gone to modern versions of night carts in new subdivisions where there is no connections to sewer mains so we are trucking sewage to treatment plants daily .Then like Queens town we just pump it in the river and send it to the next towns water intake where they have to spend extra in treatment cost .Then we are short of hospitals and health care staff .Schools are over crowded .
The bloody tax payers want a cap on rates and dont see why the current rate payers should be paying for the next generation .What the fuck ?we are paying for lack of spending over the last 50 years because we all voted for the candidate who said I WILL NOT INCREASE RATES ,but the same candidate spent nothing on new or repairs and still increased rates .

  2. RATES CAPS what a joke .We have had rates caps for years indirectly and now that shit has just got real you are all moaning .Not only has the stupidity of endless growth caught up with us the fail to maintain policy is now biting us on the arse big time .You can not neglect for years and just wait till you die before it is not your problem .We need to stop imigration right now and fix what we have before increasing the population .

    • Stop immigration?

What about all the doctors etc we need? Perhaps you misspoke and were meaning better oversight?

And what about tourism? A few million tourists annually also puts the cost pressure on locals.

And what is this indirect rates cap you speak of? Rates have been exceeding the rate of inflation for decades.

  3. I’m definitely not a xenophobe, yet I agree that mass immigration is absolutely awful for most of us, except of course for the wealthy owners / rentiers / price setters.

I view mass tourism as a similar destructive force.

We can easily see what our current government wants and it ain’t pretty.

  4. Our local community newspaper has the same nutters writing in almost every week complaining about the council spending to improve things or supply reliable water while never mentioning that this government is the cause of most of the rates increases. My solution, now that we know their names, would be to install a large fence across their gate, cut off their water, and offer them cheap rates. However, they would have to walk everywhere and provide their own water. I would be generous to allow them to use the footpath for free.

    • Steve We have had the same here for decades; the same nutters and yet regarding themselves as the top of the tree when the best monkeys are being judged for council or whatever.

  5. Surely Central Government capping rates now would make it far more difficult for Central Government to force extra costs onto local councils going forward?

Nevertheless, if the Taxpayers Union was genuinely concerned about the financial costs of taxpayer/ratepayers they would also be calling for protection from user pays PPPs/privatizations and asset sales which councils would most likely turn to for funding.

  6. The taxpayer’s union are a bunch or right-wing redneck bludging hypocrites they took money from Jacinda to pay their wages then put the boot in about Labour overspending during covid.

  7. Well said Martyn & Gordon, immigration is a huge contributing factor to our problems, but not the only stumbling block. Our current CoC is full of gormless MPs who lack basic acumen, hence the super deep hole we are currently in. Previous governments have also been guilty of taking the “lazy immigration” pathway. I’m sick to death of NZ training, police, nurses, teachers, tradies etc only to ‘hand’ them to Aus where they are welcomed with open arms! We want our people back here – not a country full of immigrants, many of whom are also aiming for Aus. All this CoC needed to do was slow down, hand pick and investigare what needed to be done, and implement it if necessary. This has not happened with anything they have meddled with – it’s just knee-jerking all over the place then coming up with half cooked failures. And let’s not get onto the Taxpayers’ Union still playing the ‘blame game’. Q: Why is ‘Traitor Seymour so beholden to Atlas Network – what has he been promised? You also ask “How dumb are Kiwis?” Many are the fools who voted in this inept CoC and should be cringing, but I bet they aren’t as they are too involved in their ME ME ME lifestyle to even notice. The many now in abject povety is growing by the day but hey – see no evil, hear no evil! Day of reckoning coming…..

    • Because all our pollies were sold a diseased economic plan like drugs, swallowed them without knowing that some of the powder was haha-pic, is why we are in the poo now. I believe that it isn’t in their purview to put an oar into certain rules and laws and ways that are of disadvantage to us, but are to the gain of international drones flying in over our heads and pecking up any profits we have. We can’t regulate even to limit it becoz we have signed up not to diminish their take from any investment they make, or (note) wish to make here.

When some of us marched in protest as a result of Prof Jane Kelsey revealing our weakness and we didn’t want to be signed up for this loss of sovereignty, we weren’t doing it for a stroll in the outdoors. Prof Kelsey was active in disseminating info but when it comes to ‘postal education’ there must be an opening, even a slit, to insert the important details to reach the brain. But we were just ‘Rent a Crowd’ to National and Labour alike; ended up as a practice run for the big Wellington putsch!
