Last week I wrote, ‘If you voted National, you are enabling ACT and NZF’, which saw an avalanche of panicked right wing Trolls screaming, “but if you vote Labour, you enable da Maares and da Bussy Greens’ as if that meant anything.
So let’s compare and contrast then:
National + NZF + ACT =
- Anti-vaxx witch hunts
- Donors interests strangling the common good
- Pro corporation policy
- Tax cuts for the rich
- Privatisation policy for their donors mates
- Culture War Revenge fantasies masquerading as social policy
- Cuts to Public health
- Road privatisation using orange cones to weaponise your impatience
- Cuts to public transport
- trashing the environment
- Counter productive Tough on crime bullshit
Labour + Greens + Maori Party =
- Real Community representation
- Better public health
- Better public transport
- Better urban planning
- Better environmental policies
- Stronger outcomes for Māori, beneficiaries, renters, addicts, disabled community, the homeless and children in poverty
- higher taxes on the mega wealthy
Look.
I am the first to point out how alienating our middle class Wellington woke activists have been with their cancel culture bullshit, but the wokies have all been beaten into submission and told to shut the fuck up. They are only allowed on Bluesky now where they can collectively scream alongside Emily Writes into the padded walls of their woke echo chambers and they will NEVER have the power they had in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020!
Once Ricky Gervais and Dave Chappelle had people laugh at their dogma, most Wellington Woke have no power over anything now (other than the vegan lunch menu of their weekly Kink Munch meeting), so sure they were a factor when they gained social media power last decade, but the contempt they generate anytime they raise their head above the Bluesky parapet keeps them impotent.
So, one side blow corporations and kisses rich prick arseholes, the other side are in it for the people.
I know what I want to enable, and it’s not fucking corporations!
If you vote National, you enable ACT and NZF malice.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.
Green and brown for me we need a dramatic shift toward a better society and government for the people .We dont need hate filled cash grabs for the rich pricks till every last cent is gone .
I agree. If there is a change of government, for better or worse labour will be less willing than the national party to let themselves be pulled in the more radical direction that their junior coalition partner(s) advocate for.
ENABLE AWAY go hard and cancel the current arseholes who are hell bent on destroying our home .
You’re correct, a vote for Labour is too close to being a vote for National so Green & TMP need to increase if we want any genuine progressive policies.
Agree `100% exactly my line of thinking.
This Labour National lite bullshit time is over.
Its time to get radical.

I agree Labour are frankly pretty pathetic. TMP are the only political party who have called out the United States that is a start.
Labour had 3 years of complete control and I do not think they did much in tye way of followingvyour list of Brownie points.
There was a lot of talk and review committees with appropriate Maori names and the public service was expanded to look like things were happening . Moves on public transport was good but despite millions spent no light rail system was started in Auckland. Was public health much better ? Child poverty was nearly as bad as 2017 when they came to power and homeless people were pushed into motels and forgotten . Little was done in regard to tax except offering to take GST off fruit and veg no CGT no wealth tax .
An opportunity to show how Labour could change all our lives was given and lost.

Absolutely agree.
For me it was the Denial of radical medicines funding and Pharmac reform and the refusal to accept any of the 42 recommendations in thee welfare review report.
Those turned me off Labour for Good.
I joined the Greens in 2018 and have not regretted it one bit.
Trevor I honestly try to understand what you are on about but you are confusing.
You keep pointing out that Labour failed socialists when it was in government(Was public health much better ? Child poverty was nearly as bad as 2017 etc)
Is socialism what you want? Do you actually want governments to spend more on social welfare?
Because if it is why do you think the present government is any better, or will be any better?
If socialism is what you do NOT want then surely you should applaud the Labour party’s failure. Is this not so?
Or do you just like to whinge about stuff and the past Labour government is a handy target?
Labour and the Greens respect democracy. The self-styled Māori Party does not. Waititi has a hero called Ibrahim Traoré. Probably not that normal a hero for someone you would vote for. Don’t fall down the hypocrisy blind alley by telling me Seymour‘s idols are worse. It won’t wash. So, sure vote Labour and Green but TPM need to be rejected with other extremists and enemies of democracy.
You fit my definition of an extremist, so I’m happy to reject your advice.
I have only ever voted National or Labour.
Like a lot of other voters hence the reason NZ is fucked at present .We owe the grandkids a massive apology .
Steve, what a yawn response. I have never voted for a minor party left or right.
Poor Anus so easily triggered. Your posts are one big yawn.
It’s a pity that there isn’t a single soldier in the NZ Army with the intelligence let alone courage of Traore.
The government has saved thousands on dismissing much needed public servants and on pay equity that was essential yet hear they are spending hundreds of thousands on bureaucracy.
https://www.odt.co.nz/news/national/health-nz-board-re-established-govt
More wasteful spending on top of tax cuts for the rich and landlord rebates.
“much needed public servants”
Rubbish, Labour bloated the public service departments by tens of thousands, totally unwarranted and pointless.
This Govt needs to cut a further 5,000 (at least) to get an effective lean system.
Cut..cut…cut away boys.
So we increase the unemployed is that the way.
You know one of the things back in the sixties and seventies people could be soaked up into government departments, this gives people a sense of worth and belonging and being part of a community. And of course these people worked, but the demand now is for everyone to do two people’s work. Lots of things would improve in our society, fewer people needing mental health support, fewer suicides, more people able to afford their housing, doctors, dentists and to be able to feed their family properly, less inequality.
Frankly that would be much better for our society as a whole than the track we are fast moving down, pushed by the morons in Government currently.
To be frank the mighty dollar is not the only thing that counts in these equations.
“Frankly that would be much better for our society as a whole than the track we are fast moving down, pushed by the morons in Government currently.

SPOT ON POINT.
And not only public servants but by crashing the economy they created this…
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/waikato-news/news/kinleith-mill-closure-workers-gather-for-farewell-in-tokoroa-as-71-year-chapter-closes/XKVLB6U2ZFEZ3LTXKBUJRZ5TWI/
Get your neighbors to do your lobotomy Im not right because it will save the health system money and hopefully do us all a favour.
National bloating health with Lester Levy employed to run the new Health Board costing hundreds of thousands of dollars but the public servants needed for surgery, ED, mental health etc are let go. You need help.
Local meet works in Te Kuiti sacked 70 workers a couple of weeks ago .Not a word in the media ,I guess they are no longer allowed to report these mass layoffs ,just like they are not allowed to report on ramraids .
The media is owned by the right.
Agree with you on the public service overkill. This is the main fault with Labour because if they get extra taxmoney they tend to spend it on making a bloated public service .
It’s idiots like Im never right and you Trevor who emigrate to our country that then requires a public service big enough to meet demand. It’s not fucking rocket science. But I guess you both had the same poor education around math.
So Squeaky, non-idiots who emigrate (you indicate anyone except the English) don’t cause a public service need? Stoooopid.
Your spelling gives away your intellect Annus. If you add just one immigrant to this country an increase in demand is created.
Stupid.
Squeaky Clean SPOT ON POINT AGAIN.
Your the stupid one for making the comment.
Anus, stop looking in the mirror, stupid.
The only thing bloated is our country that had accepted English rejects like yourself Trevor, no offense.
So when you’re attacked by a mentally unwell person and neither a crisis clinician or police officer will attend and if you survive, you may then want to think about your ” bloated ” statement.
If National get extra money they give it to the already wealthy as Willis is frequently doing.
Squeaky Clean SPOT ON POINT AGAIN. AGAIN AND AGAIN.
Even the blind can see!
Back in the late 1960 there were full page adverts in English papers asking people with skills to come to NZ .I did not have the skills on the list so I migrated to Australia spent 3 years there married a NZ and then came here . I was except under a scheme for people who wanted to operate a small business. Over the years I have had good times and bad but when times were good I employed 30 odd and trained more . How many jobs have you created
When I’m right and me talk of unwanted public servants iit is the paper shuffles not those on the front line doing good . Therexwas an additional 16 thousand hired in the 6 years Labour was in charge .
For someone with a UK background that post was a jumbled mess. Where’s Bob the troll to condemn such a jumbled mess.
You still don’t get it do you? We had a population of 4.79 million in 2017. In 2023 5.33 million in 2025. Do the math. With an already burdened system 16 thousand is nothing compared to adding over 500 thousand to an already struggling infrastructure.
As for my personal life, since being employed in the 50s, in manufacturing, to running my own business since the 80’s and exporting products to Japan, to finally retirement, I have employed hundreds.
National have never been the peoples party as shown by the high unemployment rate and punitive policies. When National are in charge, other than the wealthy donors including farmers, the country suffers.
So it was Labour that allowed so many extra people to come in why blame National
National then Labour, yes.
As always you completely miss the point . Labour increased public servant numbers to match immigration, National is slashing those numbers and why we have hospital patients not in wards but corridors at ED, why there is burnout amongst the remaining publis servants. But explaining to you is like hitting your head against an Im right wall.
And now we spend that amount paying those people to stay at home and not work at all .Where is the fucken savings in that .Then Willis is borrowing hard out to pay for the extra 56000 on main benefit .
https://www.publicservice.govt.nz/data/workforce-data/public-sector-composition/long-term-trends
don’t let data get in the way of a good wank. still well below historical norms.
Like rust – woke never dies. Just look at the current mixture of Labour, Greens and Maori policy positions – it will be 2017-2023 but with a supercharger attached to the back.
Its called governing for ALL not just a few .Governments job is to provide services for ALL not profits for 1% .A country is not a business it is a society .Until we let go of the growth at all cost and return to building a society where everyone gets a fair slice of the pie we are doomed to slide over the cliff .China will get us for free with out a shot fired .Just look at whats happening in the Pacific islands .We have just used them for a source of cheap labour for decades and thrown them a few crumbs every now and again and now we have extracted what we can we have turned to Asia as a source of cheap labour .Now we have not looked after them they are getting help from China and no bullets fired .Trump and his blood thirsty mates could learn a lot from China .Imagine what the middle east would look like had they used soft deplomacy instead of waging war .Everyone would be doing well and the whole place would be booming and it would have been way cheaper in the long term .
Labour = ‘real community representation’? Orly?
They don’t want to know the community. Just like National.
Obviously I don’t support enabling the Greens, but at least the Maori Party will keep those freaks in check.
A vote for LINO enables more neo liberal tinkering and not upsetting Winston.
Remember they are just as beholden to govern for the oligarchy and special interests as NACT.
They were defeated two years ago and the people who took them there are still around and unrepentant.
We don’t vote for governments we elect their oligarchy masters
The political system is like New Zealand
Fucked.
Correct >
Which is why LABOUR DO NOT DESERVE OUR VOTE.
It is TIME we got radical and VOTE TWO TICKS GREEN or GREEN AND TPM.
Labours silence says it ALL.
Labour + Greens + TPM
missed from the above list
+ building boom
+ apprentices trained
+ necessary houses built
+ infrastructure development
+ support for business R&D
+ support for science
+ money in people’s pockets providing demand for the nations businesses.
Which add up to a vote for economic growth.
A vote for NAct is more stagflation.
Also missed
ACC REFORM
GUARANTEED MINIMUM INCOME ( with no means test for couples)
Maybe the type of thinking that continues to vote for the same thing as previously in the hope that ‘this time’ the failed nitwits of the past will magically work better than those awful whoever: could that be sized up succinctly in ‘the reiteration of platitudes and pretensions’.? That covers the situation don’t you think?
Martyn – Te Pati Maori will cost Labour the election at this stage…
” Martyn – Te Pati Maori will cost Labour the election at this stage…”
No.
LINO will cost themselves the election at this stage.
And ACT will cost both NZ First and National with their destructive bills. Those affected will remember.
Never voted for compromised Labour these 40 years. Never will. You can’t be on the side of the rich ‘and’ the people!
I’m sure they’re skiing middle-class loves. No one loves them except their close circle. Plenty of fools but the intelligent for reality have no time for cunts.
persona, propaganda and persuasion. The left need to implant the idea of redistribution and fairness through public assets and public services, as the over-arching goal for the good of society, the economy and the environment.
