Why Trump panicked with Bibi and and why his 12 day war may be Iran’s nuclear moment

CNN is not flattering of Trump’s so called victory…

Mission Not Accomplished in Iran?
An early US intelligence assessment suggested American strikes over the weekend had not completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities, as President Donald Trump has claimed, CNN reported.

Trump disputed that, insisting the US had achieved “total obliteration” of Iran’s nuclear program. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe said Iran’s nuclear facilities had been seriously damaged or destroyed. Although US–Iran talks will take place next week, as Trump noted, the president said he thinks a nuclear deal with Iran is now unnecessary.

In striking Iran and then forging a ceasefire, it’s not entirely clear whether Trump has secured a “quick win” or has committed the US to another Middle East “quagmire,” The Economist writes. “[T]his maddening uncertainty” over the state of Iran’s nuclear program after the US strikes “is not a bug—it is an inherent feature of this kind of air-war and bombing operation. And it highlights a deeply uncomfortable question. If Iran’s leaders cling to power and continue to pursue a clandestine nuclear programme, dealing with it will require America’s long-term military commitment to the region. Is it really up for it?”

Iran may be left isolated and weakened but enraged, which would present “a long-term military dilemma for Israel,” The Economist writes elsewhere. Israel has shown impressive military power in recent weeks, but it lacks the heft to act as a true regional hegemon. As for what happens next, that “points to negotiations [with Iran] from a position of strength.”

“For many in Israel, the euphoria shared by Israeli leaders and Trump has become a source of embarrassment,” Al-Monitor’s Ben Caspit writes. “Israeli defense sources who spoke with Al-Monitor agreed with the US assessments that the Iranian nuclear program had been set back and not destroyed.” The US strikes do not harbinger a permanent end to Iran’s nuclear program, one senior Israeli military official tells Caspit: “Since Trump is committed to preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, we will receive at least three and a half years of quiet, until the end of his term.”

…the reason Trump screamed and swore at Bibi is because Trump comprehends how thin the I’ve is here.

Iran still has 2000 ballistic missiles, many that are hypersonic and can cause far more damage than they have unleashed to debate.

Sure Israel has destroyed 50% of their launchers but that still leaves 200 that can unleash a terrible price.

The reality is the air strike looks marginal at best and may have set Iran back a couple of months and they still have 400kg of highly enriched uranium.

The reason Trump was grovelling to the Iranians on social media and swearing at Bibi is because he at least understands the danger of a desperate and cornered Iran, which is really what has happened here.

Trump’s actions have clearly told the Iranian regime only a nuclear weapon will protect them from Israel and America.

Iran has been stripped bare for the Paper Tiger it has become, in the same way Russia has been exposed with its inability to beat the Ukraine.

All Russia have left is their nuclear weapons and the threat of those weapons. Iran’s threat to build a nuclear weapon alongside their proxies was their strategic position. Those allies have been wiped out, the Iranian military has been degraded and Israeli air supremacy guaranteed.

All Iran have left is a successful nuclear test and the threat they will launch to guarantee any defence from Israel now.

  1. Bibi was the one panicking as Iran proved more formidable than they thought. Sure, Iran got wracked at the same time, but Israel/USA are not used to getting as good as they are giving, hence we have what we have, a pause, in Israel/USA’s typical bullying. Smart move on their behalf but it is just the calm before yet another storm. As for Iran, it doesn’t matter how many effin times their head honcho says that nukes are against their beliefs, Israel/USA/The West are still able to use the nuclear pretext as a means of striking Iran. Understandable, given that most people still happily lap this pretext up like its gospel from the lord almighty itself.

As for Russia v Ukraine. If all Russia has left is nuclear weapons, then why hasn’t Ukraine not only expelled Russia from its shores but greatly expanded its Kursk offensive. No matter, I’m just pissing in the wind.

Hey can you get a proofreader or subeditor or something? Mangled syntax serves only to detract from your arguments.

    • It seems like it’s been months of proofreading failures on Martyn’s articles, which I suppose is a sign of the pressure he’s under to deliver a vital news service. At least it is usually possible to work out what he wants to communicate.

    • My approach when reading Bombers posts is to simply imagine the author narrating the text; his words in his voice.

On that point – perhaps the text is sometimes a bit quirky: my guess is dictation software is used to capture Bombers flow.

      I always enjoy his posts

    • F’ing rubbish. Face it Trump is full of shit. He’s having to contradict his own intelligence community daily.

      • Ditto – talking about Iran having a regime change, well frankly first it is the United States that needs a regime to some one slightly less unhinged.

      • Why would anyone believe the intelligence community when the choice is a 12 day war thats already ended or a new forever war.

Remember when the intelligence community reckoned Iraq had african yellowcake and WMDs up the wazoo.

        • Why would anyone believe Trump? The IEA is more believable and they certainly weren’t saying “any minute now”

The US intelligence community were saying Iran wasn’t there and wasn’t pursuing. In a warmongering nation like the US I would say it’s likely that intelligence is correct.

    • Just because you disagree doesn’t make CNN wrong. They just presented the available Hunter Biden evidence and let people make their own decisions.

  3. It’s all kabuki theater really Trump orders a strike to save Israel who by all accounts was taking heavier losses than expected. Here’s some facts FB was plastered with video of Israel being hit with a hyper-sonic missile with the first excuse the explosion was caused by an errant missile from the iron dome, next day it’s the iron dome didn’t detect it, well duh its hyper sonic traveling at 2.5 times the speed of sound.
As i said Kabuki. Israel only has 2 ports, Haifa is nearly out of action and 1 airport which was badly damaged, FFS Israelis were fleeing to Greece/Cyprus on any boat they could find. I thought the land was promised to you 3000 years ago?
Name me one, one time since its inception in 1947 that Israel has been the first to accept a ceasefire.
