Media Insider: Unauthorised Jacinda Ardern book – the journalists behind it and the prominent broadcasters who have been interviewed

David Cohen contacted me last year and asked if I would agree to be interviewed for this book.

I’ve known Clarke for decades (we did shows together as DJs on Channel Z) and Jacinda (who had appeared many times on my Citizen A show) has baby sat my daughter.

I even gave Clarke her cell phone number to contact her after the mass surveillance protests I was leading because he wanted to talk to her as his constituent MP about his concerns, and that led to them dating.

I also had a lot of knowledge on what was going on behind the scenes of her Government so I originally said yes because I thought I might have some insight to provide.

I checked out his writing and didn’t really like anything he had written, but I was going along with it until the day of the interview and for some reason I just got a really weird vibe off him.

I can’t tell you what it was, but at the last minute (literally) I pulled out and didn’t go ahead with the interview.

I’m so fucking glad I did NOW I know that the backer of his book is the fucking Centrist!

The Centrist, as TDB has pointed out, is the new alt-Right hate blog started by alt-Right culture War Canadian Billionaire Jim Grenon, the same alt-right Billionaire who just took over NZME.

The Centrist was behind the insinuation Benjamin Doyle was a pedohile, they publish anti-Trans hate, anti-Māori hate, anti-Treaty hate, anti-vaccine hate, and are climate deniers.

That they are behind Cohen’s book is like finding out your local kindergarten is run by the Nazgul.

If the alt-right culture war hate Blog is backing Cohen’s new book, it will be little more than a hatchet job on Jacinda.

Sometimes you need to listen to your gut about a vibe you get from someone.

    • gordon w It was a then-Labour Party politician who designated the Parliamentary precinct protestors a “ river of filth”, and Labour’s Trevor Mallard who turned the hoses on them, thereby exacerbating the situation, not Winston Peters.

      • Notice the river of filth hung around being arse holes and the treaty people were peaceful ,made their point ,and then left .No riots abuse or burning things eh.

        • They hung around because, unlike The Treaty protest, nobody would officially meet with them or their representatives.

Further, it was widely known The Treaty bill wasn’t going to actually go through.

Whereas, mandates were already in place and doing damage. Thus, people wanted their concerns heard

            • Actually, they peacefully protested at parliament a number of times prior. To no avail.

Hence, had finally had enough. Deciding this time they wouldn’t leave until their concerns were officially heard.

And only left after being forced out.

      • It’ll interesting to see what ‘the right ‘ do when the names of the people who manufactured a video using Jacinda’s head on a pornstar’s body riding a jetski amongst other activities.

Remember the National MP from Ashburton who got caught sharing explicit images….

        Where there’s smoke there’s .
        fire.

‘The right’ should be very careful and very circumspect about what they wish for!

  1. Just another hate fest by hateful people. Please don’t tell me this book will be anything but vile garbage

    • Except the metrics that show Labour ran an almost full employment economy full of building and construction and engineering and infrastructure where as the Coc unemployment up, real wages falling, hundreds of people leaving the country, house prices down, household debt up, food banks up.

As usual National showing they are piss poor economic managers.

      • Wow all those metrics Ardern achieved make maninblacks comment embarrassing. He deserves scorn.

    • Did you not read last weeks post about how well NZ was doing in the 6 years before the election .I think lowest GDP growth was 3% compared to what now 0.3% and massive unemployment and people leaving the country in the thousands each week .Construction in the shit with 14k jobs gone and more closing every week shops closing and business not paying any tax .Growth reached 7% under Jacinda did it not .The only thing reaching 7% under Luxon will be unemployment and the increase of people in jail .I was in the bank yesterday wanting to invest some loose change ,the teller said yep we will give you 0.7% what a fucken joke .I will put the cash under the mattress .NZ is booming not .

      • Farmers are doing well gordon buying more trucks and the rich listers have added to their wealth with our PM saying we should all celebrate this. Geez he is demented the bald one and he deserves those dark bags under his eyes

  2. Good for you brother. Great instincts. Any insights you would have given Clarke, would have been twisted and used against you and also used against Jacindar Ardern to split the Left.
My opinion of the Ardern administration?
With what the crisises they had to deal with, as well as the manufactured hate that jacinda Ardern had to deal with personally, I think they did a great job. My only criticism, and it is the criticism that I have of all left of centre governments, is that they didn’t go far enough.
The pressures on Ardern personally were immense, If she had been able to withstand them, I would have loved to have seen what a third Adern administration would have done. But it was not to be.
The following Hipkins administration was a train wreck appeaser that ushered in the far right.
It should never be forgottien that Hipkins nstead of helping Labour’s base, hurting from the burdens that Covid put on thme, that almost broke the health and social services, he made his captain’s call not to tax the rich to keep those vital social services properly funded and revitalised.
    More fool him.

    • And failed to explain what a woman is. Most of NZ watched that and lost faith in his judgement. You’ve got to be able to see and speak the truth free of ideology as much as possible if you want to take the majority of the people along with you.

  3. Appreciate the personal bias you have volunteered but might Savage and Clarke rank above Adern
