Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 82 residents and the wounding of 262. Civil Defence crews retrieved three more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 53,762 with the total wounded at least 122,197. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 90 and, that of those injured, is more than 206. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack on international delegation: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces continued storming the city and the refugee camp, taking prisoner two people, and opening indiscriminate fire in the direction of a State of Palestine Diplomatic Corps delegation and ambassadors accredited to more than 30 countries, international organisations and foreign news media. The gunfire occurred at the entrance to a srefugee camp, during a tour to review the conditions of Occupation in the Jenin governorate and the tragic state of affairs on the 121st day of relentless storming of the Jeninrefugee camp.
Israeli Army attack on refugee camps – home invasions and occupation: Tulkarem – Israeli forces continued storming the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, opening fire towards residents and continuing to occupy buildings and homes, for use as military posts.
Israeli Army storming escorting Occupation settlers: Nablus – 21:35–06:50, the Israeli Army, escorting settlers and firing live ammunition, stormed the city.
Israeli Army attack – home invasions: Salfit – Israeli forces continued storming the town of Bruqin, occupying more homes and turning a number of them into military posts. They also took measurements of the home of one person, Nael Samara, they had killed in preparation for its demolition.
Home invasions: Jerusalem – 23:30, Israeli Occupation forces raided al-Sawahra al-Sharqiya and searched a number of homes.

Home invasions, explosives and destruction : Qalqiliya – 21:45–00:30, the Israeli Army forces raided the village of Baqa al-Hatab, using explosives to destroy a home.

Israeli Army pastoral and agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 08:30, Israeli Occupation forces demolished an agricultural facility and a livestock shelter, in the village of Deir Jarir.
Israeli Army violence and terrorism: Bethlehem – 07:15, Israeli troops brutally beat-up three people, Mahmoud Abdel Halim Mahmoud Issa, Muhammad Abdel Halim Muhammad Issa and Hashem Abdel Halim Mahmoud Issa, near the village of Husan.
Israeli Army vandalism and sabotage: Bethlehem – 08:55, Israeli Army forces demolished a park being re-established, in the town of Nahalin, after being destroyed by Occupation forces about four months ago. The Israeli military also demolished part of commercial facility in the town.
Israeli Army robbery: Bethlehem – morning, the Israeli military robbed three al-Khadr residents, Ahmed Ismail Awad Salah, Yousef Hassan Ismail Issa and Muhammad Khaled Ali Ghanim, of their motor vehicles.
Occupation settler arson and agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 00:25, Israeli Occupation settlers raided the residential area of Mughayer al-Deir in Deir Dibwan and set fire to crops on nearby land.

Occupation settler arson – mosque violation – racist insults: Nablus – 02:50, Occupation settlers invaded the area between Aqraba and the village of Osirin, setting fire to a motor vehicle and attempting to set fire to the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque, spraying race-hate insults in Hebrew on its walls.
Occupation settler stoning – injury: Salfit – 16:05, Israeli settlers stoned passing vehicles at the entrance to Yasuf village, injuring a villager: Muhammad Ma’zouz Suleiman.
Occupation settler land-grab: Salfit – 21:05, Israeli Occupation settlers seized an area of Bruqin town land and installed mobile homes on it, in order to establish a new settlement outpost.
Occupation settler violence and hospitalisation: Bethlehem – 21:35, a resident of Wadi Rahhal village, Iyad Mahmoud Abdel Hamid Al-Fawaghra, was severely beaten-up and hospitalised by Israeli settlers.

It is encouraging to know that an estimated 100,000 Israeli reservists have failed to report for duty and an increasing number of serving Israeli Army personnel have refused to serve in an unjust war.
This disillusion also reflects in the emigration of many skilled and talented young Israeli families to Europe and America.
When I visited Israel in the 1970s an Israeli soldier told me that a major problem for Israel’s military planners was the irrationality of the Arab world as represented by Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein.
Well now – Netanyahu is linked to co-operation with Trump – Who now is irrational?
Look for the day that the USA decides supporting Israel is not worth it anymore.
