67 killed — 361 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 67 residents and the wounding of 361. Civil Defence crews retrieved five more bodies from underneath bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 53,339. The total wounded is now at least 121,934. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 90 and, that of those injured, is more than 207. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attacks – 1 wounded – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continued to storm the city and the refugee camp, wounding a 67–year– old resident with special needs, Hakam Muhammad Ramez Al-Najjar, in the city.
Israeli Army attacks – homes occupied and others demolished: Tulkarem – Since
28 January 2025, Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, continued their storming of the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, occupying more properties and homes for use as military posts. Palestinian homes continue to be raided and demolished.
Israeli Army attack – 1 youngster killed and 2 others wounded: Nablus – 22:10, the Israeli Army opened fire towards people, near the entrance to Burqa village, killing one 16-year-old youth, Nidal Wael Abdel Karim Shaghnoubi, and wounding two other teenagers: 13-year-old Walid Ashraf Hajjah and Zain al-Din Iyad Daghlas (aged 16).
Israeli Army attack – arson and population–control: Nablus – 14:15, Israeli troops, firing live ammunition, set fire to crops in the al-Masudiya area, near Burqa village, and assaulted people trying to put out the flames. Four of those injured are: Samir Rashid Masoud, Majdi Samir Masoud, Muhammad Samir Marshood and Ahmad Muhammad Ida’is.
Israeli Army attack – arson – agricultural sabotage: Nablus – 22:50, Occupation settlers, firing live ammunition, stormed the al-Ein area, south of Duma village, and set fire to crops.
Israeli Army attack – 1 killed and 6 wounded – homes invaded: Salfit – the Israeli Army continued to storm the town of Bruqin, occupying a number of houses for use as military posts, and searching many homes. One person was killed and six other residents were wounded during an assault on a home.
Israeli Army attack – home attacked: Salfit – 12:25, Israeli troops, set up a checkpoint between Bruqin and the village of Qarawat Bani Zeid, opening fire and smashing the windows of a home, as well as attacking a motor vehicle.
Israeli Army attack on home – 1 killed: Salfit – Israeli Occupation forces stormed the town of Bruqin, opening fire on a house and killing a resident: Nael Sami Abdel Rahman Samara.
Home invasion: Ramallah – 21:55, Israeli Occupation forces raided al-Bireh and searched a house.
Home invasions: Ramallah – 00:25, Israeli forces raided the city and invaded an apartment building.
Home invasion and surveillance: Nablus – 23:55–06:45, the Israeli Army raided the village of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya, invaded a home and searched its surveillance-camera recordings.
Home invasions and occupation – robbery – population–control: Salfit – 20:20, the Israeli Occupation forces continued their storming of the town of Kafr al-Dik, occupying homes and turning them into military posts. A number of other houses were invaded, with one householder being robbed of cash. Israeli troops also raided the town’s Grand Mosque and used its loudspeakers to order a curfew. The Israeli military also raided and searched Kafr al-Dik Girls’ Elementary and Secondary Schools.
Home invasion: Bethlehem – 21:55, the Israeli Army raided the village of Umm Salmuna and searched a house.
Home invasions: Bethlehem – 23:15, Israeli soldiers raided the village of al-Rashaydeh and invaded a number of homes.
Israeli Army assault with rubber-coated bullets and stun grenades – 1 wounded: Jerusalem – 10:30, Israeli Occupation forces, firing rubber-coated bullets and stun grenades, raided al-Ram,wounding a resident. They also severely beat–up and injured two other people.
Israeli Army agricultural sabotage: Salfit – 11:25, Israeli forces bulldozed yet more agricultural land, in the al-Khalayleh area of Bruqin.
Israeli Army violence – 2 injured and hospitalised: Jericho – 00:30, two brothers in al-Auja, Eid Ahmed and Abdul Ahmed Eid Sa’aydeh, were admitted to hospital following severe beatings-up by Israeli troops.
Israeli Army assault – 1 wounded: Hebron – 23:10, Israeli soldiers stationed near the Meitar checkpoint, opened fire on and wounded a man: Basil Tawfiq Mahmoud Hamdan.
Occupation settler stoning: Ramallah – 22:40, Israelis, from the Shiloh Occupation settlement, stoned passing vehicles on the nearby road to Nablus.
Occupation settler stoning: Qalqiliya – 00:25, Israelis, from the Kedumim Occupation settlement stoned passing vehicles at the nearby roundabout.
Occupation settler invasion: Jericho – 11:05–12:25, Israeli settlers raided the Bedouin community in al-Auja and grazed their sheep.
Occupation settler assault on child: Hebron – 18:20, Occupation settlers marched threateningly in the Old City, assaulting a child, Sarah Amir Da’na, and inflicting on her a head injury that caused her to lose consciousness. They also assaulted a French visitor.
