20 killed — 125 wounded

Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes as well as medical and other facilities resulted in the death of 46 residents and the wounding of 73. Civil Defence crews retrieved another bodyfrom under bomb-damaged buildings bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 52,928. The total wounded is now at least 119,846. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 90 and, that of those injured, is more than 205. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

West Bank

Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.

Israeli Army attack – 1 resident shot, wounded and beaten–up: Jerusalem – 15:00, Israeli Occupation forces shot, wounded and then beat–up a man, Muhammad Nidal Kasba, near the entrance to the Qalandiya refugee camp.

Israeli Army attack – 2 injured and hospitalised: Jenin – Israeli forces, continuing their storming of the city as well as the refugee camp, ran a military vehicle into and hospitalised two people riding a motorcycle.

Israeli Army attacks – home invasions and forced evacuations: Tulkarem – the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, continued to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, demolishing more homes in the Nur Shams refugee camp and carrying out forced evacuations.

Home demolitions and pastoral sabotage: Jerusalem – 09:00, Israeli Occupation forces demolished two homes in the town of Anata, in addition to a retaining wall and four livestock shelters in the town of Anata.

Home invasion and forced personal demolition: Jerusalem – 20:00, the Israeli Occupation forced a resident, Adam Muhammad Shaqirat, to destroy his home in the Jabal al-Mukabir neighbourhood– or otherwise be forced to pay an extortionate sum to the Israeli Occupation demolition squads, who would be sent in to do it.

Home invasion and demolition – pastoral sabotage: Bethlehem – 07:30, the Israeli military demolished a house and a livestock shelter, in Kisan village.

Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.

Israeli Army assault on behalf of invading settlers: Jerusalem – 18:00, an Old City resident, Saeed Abu Najma, trying to confront Occupation settlers invading the Al-Aqsa Mosque, was take prisoner by Israeli forces.

Israeli Army robbery: Jenin – 15:00, the Israeli Army seized documents certifying the progress of study taken in Egypt by a resident, Mahmoud Muammar Mustafa Salama, and robbed him of cash owned by his son.

Israeli Army agricultural sabotage: Nablus – evening, Israeli troops bulldozed large areas of Madama village agricultural land and uprooted dozens of olive trees.

Occupation settler plunder and pastoral sabotage: Nablus – 08:50, Occupation settlers stole a number of sheep from off Majdal Bani Fadel village land.

Occupation settler stoning: Nablus – 14:00-16:00, Israelis, from the Yitzhar Occupation settlement, stoned passing vehicles on the nearby bypass road.
