Merciless blitz on starving Gaza — growing numbers

23 killed — 124 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 23 residents and the wounding of 124, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 52,810. The total wounded is now at least 119,473. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, more than 205. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack – agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 09:35, Israeli Occupation settlers, supported by Israeli troops firing live ammunition, invaded the Khalayel area, near the village of al-Mughayir, and vandalised a farm.
Israeli Army attack – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continued their storming of the city as well asthe refugee camp.
Israeli Army attacks – more homes demolished: Tulkarem – Israeli forces have continued to storm the city and the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, opening fire and demolishing ever more homes.
Israeli Army attack – 2 killed: Nablus – 16:05–18:10, the Israeli Army stormed the Al-Masakin Al-Sha’biya area in the city, killing two residents as they besieged and fired anti-tank rifle grenades at a house.
Israeli Army attack – 1 child wounded: Bethlehem – 19:50–03:55, Israeli troops stormed the town of Tuqu’, wounding a child.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Hebron – 22:30–23:40, the Israeli military stormed the town of Sa’ir, wounding a resident.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Hebron – 23:15–00:30, Israeli soldiers, storming the village of Shuyukh al-Arroub, left one person, Mahmoud Ahmed Abdel Qader Ayyad, wounded.
Home invasions: Qalqiliya – 16:40, Israeli Occupation forces stormed the town of Azzun and searched a number of homes.
Israeli Army violence – beating-up and hospitalisation: Bethlehem – 10:35, a resident of Tuqu’, Saber Suleiman Attiya Sabah, making his way to works in Bethlehem, was severely beaten-up and hospitalised by Israeli troops.
Land-grab for new Occupation settlement outpost: Bethlehem – Israeli Occupation forces bulldozed an area of land, east of the village of Beit Ta’mar, and parked mobile homes there for a new settlement outpost.
Occupation settler arson and agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – evening, Israeli Occupation settlers set fire to large areas of crops,growing on land east of the village of al-Mughayir.
Occupation settler population–control: Jericho – afternoon, Israeli settlers took control of the al-Auja Spring, stoning approaching vehicles and preventing occupants from being in the area.
Occupation settler terrorism: Jericho – evening, a group of settlers stormed the Arab Al-Maliha community, north–west of the city, and pepper–sprayed the faces of residents, causing suffocation for a man, Faraj Awad Suleiman, as well as members of his family.
Occupation settler pastoral sabotage: Hebron – morning, Occupation settlers grazed their sheep on crops, in the Masafer area of Yatta.
Raid – stun grenades fired: Jerusalem – 18:00, Israeli Occupation forces, firing stun grenades, raided and patrolled the town of Anata.
