So Trump says the Houthi’s have surrendered to him and he won’t bomb the Houthis anymore.
Which is an interesting take on the situation because what the Houthis actually said was they had committed to halting attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea, but their missile and drone strikes targeting Israeli territory will continue.
Houthi leader Mahdi al-Mashat stated that attacks on Israel would persist even if their attacks on shipping has ceased, which begs the question, will the NZDF bring their staff home now?
We were there to prevent Houthi attacks on shipping, the attacks on shipping have been negotiated, so what are we still there for?
Are we defending Israel because there is a a big difference between protecting shipping because we are a trading nation, and protecting Israel who is involved in a war crime.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.
