Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 51 residents and the wounding of 115. Civil Defence crews retrieved 11 more bodies from under bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza since 7 October 2023, to at least 52,243, with the total wounded at least 117,639. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October, 2023 is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 207. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

West Bank

Palestinian Monitoring GroupSince midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.

Death: Nablus – 11:45, Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan Nasasra (aged 32) has now died in the Government Hospital from serious wounds sustained during an Israeli Army attack on Beit Furik about two months ago.
