Winston has had to radically backtrack on his character assassination of Doyle as the flimsiness of the ‘evidence’ used against him imploded and the anonymous Internet Sleuth who tricked Inspector Ian Wishart, Detective Ani O’Brien, Sergeant Sean Plunkett and The Centrist turned out to be a NZFirst activist.
