Merciless blitz on defenceless Gaza — growing numbers of dead and injured
Victims 07 April – 08 April 2025:
58 killed — 213 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, resulted in the death of 58 residents and the wounding of 213 others. The total number killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is at least 50,810 with the total wounded at least 115,688. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October, 2023 is at least 92 and, that of those injured, is more than 210. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Ramallah – 18:50, Israeli troops, firing live ammunition, raided the village of Shuqba, wounding a resident.
Israeli settler attack – arson: Ramallah – 22:10-23:50, armed Israeli settlers invaded the town of Kobar, setting fire to property and opening indiscriminate fire in the surrounding area.
Israeli Army attack – 4 taken prisoner – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continue their storming of the city and the refugee camp and have taken prisoner four residents, including a female university student.
Israeli Army attack – 1 youngster wounded – home invasions: Tubas – 22:55, Israeli forces stormed the city, opening fire while searching several homes, wounding and hospitalising a 17-year-old youth: Omar Suleiman Aqab Fuqaha. Occupation forces also took prisoner residents.
Israeli Army attacks – refugee camp: Tubas – the Israeli Army continued storming the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, opening live–fire while raiding homes.
Home invasion and demolition: Tulkarem – 08:40–11:40, Israeli Occupation forces raided the village of Farun and demolished a house, near the Annexation Wall.
Home invasions and population–control: Qalqiliya – 00:55–07:00, Israeli forces raided the city, invading two homes and ordering one resident, Mahmoud Ramzi Yousef Taym, to report for interrogation at Israeli Military Intelligence.

Home invasion – abduction – stun grenades fired – 1 more taken prisoner: Hebron – 08:45, Israeli soldiers, firing stun grenades, raided the city and searched a house, abducting a 17-year-old youth, Osama Muhammad Abd al-Rahman al-Jabari, and taking prisoner the Director of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
Home invasion: Hebron – 19:00–01:45, Israeli Occupation forces again raided the city, invading and taking measurements of a house, to prepare it for demolition.
Israeli Army – youngster abducted – 1 resident taken prisoner: Jerusalem – morning, Israeli Occupation forces abducted a 17-year-old refugee, Omar Mahmoud Abu Asba, and took prisoner one other person, Omar Abu Khudair, both of them from the Shuafat refugee camp in the city.

Israeli Army – 1 taken prisoner – population–control and agricultural sabotage: Nablus – 19:10, Israeli troops stopped a farmer, Farouq Abdul Khader Al-Najjar, from ploughing his land in the vicinity of Jabal Sabih in Beita, and then took him prisoner as well as robbing him of his tractor.

Occupation settler agricultural sabotage: Salfit – 18:35, Israeli settlers invaded Marda village land, cutting down and uprooting a number of olive trees.
Occupation settler arson and racist terrorism: Salfit – 03:20, Occupation settlers set fire to the Flora Gardens Wedding Hall, on the road between Bidya and the village of Saniriya, and sprayed racist hate–messages in Hebrew.
