From Ali Kazak:

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed 50,000 Palestinians since October 2023

The number of Palestinians killed since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023 has crossed 50,000, and 113,274 wounded, according to health officials. The death toll is expected to rise as Israeli forces struck the surgical building inside Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis late on Sunday, causing a large fire to break out, the health ministry said. The Israeli army and intelligence agency Shin Bet in a statement confirmed the attack.

Israel appoints body to oversee expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza

Israel’s security cabinet has approved the creation of a special agency within the Defence Ministry tasked with orchestrating the mass expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza under the guise of “voluntary” relocation – a move widely condemned as an attempt at forced displacement and ethnic cleansing. The newly established agency, reporting directly to Defence Minister Israel Katz, will be responsible for coordinating the expulsion of Gaza residents to third countries under the pretext of “safe and controlled passage”. It will also handle security screenings and transportation logistics for those forced to leave. The Defence Ministry said the plan was intended to align with the “vision of US President Donald Trump,” who has previously advocated for the mass relocation of Palestinians in Gaza as part of a broader Middle East strategy.

Leslie Bravery is a Londoner with vivid World War Two memories of the Nazi blitz on his home town. In 1947/1948 His father explained to him what was happening to the Palestinians thus: “Any ideology or political movement that creates refugees in the process of realising its ambitions must be inhuman and should be opposed and condemned as unacceptable.” What followed confirmed this assessment of the Zionist entity a hundredfold. Now a retired flamenco guitarist, with a lifelong interest in the tragedy of what happened to the Palestinian people, he tries to publicise their plight. Because the daily injustices they suffer barely get a mention in the mainstream news media, Leslie edits/compiles a daily newsletter, In Occupied Palestine, for the Palestine Human Rights Campaign. These days, to preserve his sanity, he enjoys taking part in a drama group whenever possible!
