Merciless blitz on defenceless Gaza — growing numbers of dead and injured
Victims 21–22 March 2025:
128 killed — 263 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes on and shelling of homes as well as many facilities resulted in the deaths of 128 residents and wounding of 263 others. Civil Defence crews recovered the bodies of two more people from under bomb-site rubble. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is at least 49,647, with the total wounded at least 113,213. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza since 7 October, 2023 is at least 93 and, that of those injured, more than 212.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack – vandalism: Jenin – since January 21, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, have been storming the city as well as its refugee camp, with the latest violation being bulldozing around the refugee camp’s cemetery and in the city neighbourhood close to the the city.
Israeli Army attack – destruction and forced evacuations of homes: Tulkarem – Israeli forces continue to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, opening firewhile raiding several homes and destroying some apartments with explosives. The Israeli military also ordered some families to evacuate their homes, giving them less than two hours to obey,before seizing them for use as military posts. Israeli troops also bulldozed and blocked a road close to the entrance to the Tulkarem refugee camp, raided a restaurant, throwing out food and cooking oil onto the ground outside as well as assaulting a restaurant worker. Four residents were taken prisoner.
Israeli Army attack: Qalqiliya – 13:30-16:00, the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, stormed the village of Kafr Qaddum.
Israeli Army attack: Qalqiliya – 18:20, Israeli troops, firing live ammunition, stormed and patrolled the town of Azzun.
Israeli Army mosque violation – population–control: Jerusalem – Israeli Occupation forces continued to impose strict restrictions on the entry of worshipers coming from the rest of the West Bank to the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the third Friday prayer of Ramadan. Those granted permission are men over the age of 55 and women aged over over 50 who hold special permits.
Occupation settler vandalism – Israeli Army complicity: Jericho – evening, Israeli settlers, under the protection of Occupation forces, raided the Bedouin community, near the Ein al-Auja waterfall, and grazed their sheep among people’s homes.
Occupation settler intrusion: Tubas – Occupation settlers, in the Ein al-Hilweh area, established a position close to people’s tent–dwellings.
