It was a State of the Nation dripping with the sort of cross burning redneck jamboree hits that kept the local cyclops’s cheering for Winnie.
Winston’s speech was mix of aggression, alcoholic slurring and denigration of minority groups and sounded more 1925 than 2025.
The only good thing about Winston’s MAGA drenched hate speech masquerading as a State of the Nation was the constant interruption by John Minto and his activist comrades.
Well done John.
Winston’s culture war ignorance preached anti-fluoridation nuttiness, cracking down on ‘woke’ (defined as anyone who believes in evolution) and climate denial demands that we pull out of the Paris Accords and generate more pollution.
He claims other parties use moral outrage when it’s NZFs corrupt crony capitalism that is disgusting. His hatred of the Trans community and his anti-Treaty agenda apparently isn’t using moral outrage.
His attack on the Labour Party is so eviscerating there is no way those inside Labour trying to reach out to Winston for a possible deal could con the rest of the caucus now.
To date a small core of Labour MPs have been trying to suggest a Māori Party deal is too extreme and that Labour must deal with Winston instead, well, in this speech Winston shat on Labour harder than he has ever shitted.
That small core of Labour MPs just died inside.
After that speech, there is no way Labour and NZF will ever talk again.
NZF is anti-Māori, it is anti-Treaty, it is anti-worker, anti-Renter and anti-environment. Winston hilariously claimed none of that was true, while then doing a whole speech about bashing those people.
He’s like a drunk uncle getting grumpy no one wants to have Christmas Dinner with him.
NZF is polling close to the 5% threshold, Winston desperately needs some new war on woke to gather enough fools to his Party.
It all sounded desperate and contrived, like a Boomer taking Viagra on a first date.
Which nicely sums up NZFirst, an octogenarian erection that barely 5% of the country wants.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

So whilst Winston and Bob the nutjob suck up to Trump. Trump does this…

Winston and nutjob Bob the first require admission to a mental institution.
Grumpy Old Man Syndrome. He hates anyone born after him.
So, he has told Labour they needn’t bother coming cap in hand to him. So be it.
Contrived and Desperate is exactly what Seymour’s utterances are too. And Luxy who wouldn’t know a sensible sentence if it hit him on the head.
So, there we have it. 3 leaders who cannot lead. Three inadequate, unfit, unstable, incompetent people, whiny, shallow and inward looking, with very, very loose connections to facts and truth. We sure don’t need them.
No truer words said Joy and if these wankers are voted in again we will be no better than trump land
Very well put, Joy!
I have missed out on this word ‘woke’. I woke up this morning and looked it up in my Collins dictionary. There were tow meanings that I was not aware of previously: “The feast of the dedication of a church formerly kept by watching all night” and “a watch or vigil beside a corpse, sometimes with revelry”.
I need help!
Great rally outside as well.
Sadly Winston is going to get a very rough reality check from the electorate, again.
What a sad wee chap he is with his war on woke ( whatever that’s supposed to be ) if Winston is against it then I am all for it so instead of war on woke let’s have a war on this silly old bloke
Great rally outside as well.
Any NZF voters now know a vote for Winston is a vote for National which could be a winner for those who think the Right has the best plan for NZ to survive in a harsh World .
I wish I had remembered it so I could join John in the protest. Peters has outlived his ability to make a useful contribution so hopefully he will be out of parliament next election. Hopefully the Labour party can wake up and develop some people friendly policies that make them worth voting for.
Yes Peters has become an embarrassment, constantly blaming others yet taking no responsibility for his appalling policies. Time for Winnie to retire ad an average politician.
Winston’s too old to run again, but it looks as if he might. That’s a mistake – it’ll scupper his chances of being appointed Governor General.
