Relentless blitz on defenceless Gaza growing numbers of dead and injured

106 killed 338 wounded

Israeli air strikes, gunfire and shelling by gunboats and the military killed 106 residents and wounded 338 in Gaza. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is now at least 49,087with the total wounded at least 112,941. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 92 and, that of those injured, is more than 213.

Palestinian Monitoring GroupSince midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.

Israeli Army attack – homes set on fire and more housedemolition orders: Jenin – 12:20, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continued their storming of the city and the refugee camp, setting fire to homes and issuing demolition orders against 66 homes in the refugee camp.

Israeli Army attack – apartment buildings demolished in refugee camp: Tulkarem – Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continued with their storming of the Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps, as well as demolishing apartment buildings in the Nur Shams refugee camp. The Israeli Army also set fire to a house, taking prisoner a resident.

Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded – many families forced to evacuate their homes: Nablus – the Israeli military continued storming the city and the Askar, Balata and Ein Beit al-Ma refugee camps. One resident in the in the Ein Beit Al-Maa camp, Baraa Muhammad Tayseer Al-Zubaidi, was wounded. Israeli troops also raided and searched several homes, taking prisoner 11 people and forcing more than 80 families to evacuate their homes in Ein Beit Al-Ma camp.

Israeli Army attack – 1 child wounded – 2 abducted: Nablus – 18:3021:50, the Israeli Army stormed Beit Furik, wounding a 15yearold boy, Osama Mahmoud Al-Hajj Muhammad, as well as one other person: Muhammad Wael Fathi Mleitat. The soldiers also abducted two 14yearold boys: Fuad Ali Nasasra and Shaher Basil Hanani.

Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded and taken prisoner: Hebron – 12:50, Israeli troops opened fire on and wounded one person, Jaber Buhais, near the entrance to Abda village, and then took him prisoner.

Home invasion: Jerusalem – 06:00, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of al-Eizarya and searched a house.
