You dumb mugs…
Traffic congestion could cost Akl $2.6b annually by 2026 – report
A new report, commissioned by Auckland mayor Wayne Brown, has estimated the city’s traffic congestion could cost the local economy around $2.6 billion annually by 2026.
….Aucklanders, let’s be honest.
We don’t give a fuck until a cycle lane is built near any car park we want, we are forced to mow our own berms or the rubbish doesn’t get picked up because we refuse to recycle and you get that sticker on your bin.

We are a self obsessed stressed out city desperately trying to pay the Bills in a City that is falling to pieces and no now wants to upgrade.
In short we don’t notice shit until it hits us in the face, well, congestion charging is about to hit you in the face you dumb Aucklanders and the Boomer King is attempting to butter you up to justify privatising the roads with his congestion charges.

Most Aucklanders won’t even realise it until it happens.
Congestion charging is an attack on the poor who can’t afford it, especially as public transport takes a beating as well and constantly raises their fares.
The Boomer King has gutted the City and his Congestion Charge will be the next punch in the face to Aucklanders.
We can laugh about how dysfunctional Wellington is, but the Boomer King will always get the last laugh.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

Well, look at the bright side…this will force more and more people out of cars and onto public transport (or scooters, bikes and so forth), which of course, is good for climate change. Start on the fringes, then squeeze inwards and change will come whether we want it or not!
Jaffas whinged about the extra fuel tax this congestion tax will really put the boot in .Then there is the looming increase in public transport fares .

Remember, when Boomer King has finished with royally shagging you Dorklanders he will be going back to his lovely little pad in the Far North–an apartment jutting out over Mangōnui Harbour attached to the historic Four Square building. He fought a battle years back, and won, to never pay rates on the property because it is technically not on land! I see Brownie most Sundays paddle boarding or walking when I am in Mangonui on business, because that is where he heads to. He grunts a hello these days for some reason even though he hates me and associates for helping stop his Marina project in the harbour, maybe he is just immensely pleased with his efforts further South…
Tiger Mountain (stupid name by the way) what is your ambition for Auckland or are you left wing indoctrinated, bias your guide?
Well Bob the Fart, I lived and worked in Auckland for 27 years back when the nice wide streets were good for cruising in our V8s, you could park outside anything, film festivals, galleries, and different music venues and clubs. The 80s mirror glass scene, Rogernomics and Ruthanasia wrecked, it so headed North in the 90s.
Auckland just needs to put up a closed till further notice sign and get its shit together.
Auckland deserves what they get they voted for this clown and the ratshit COC government
The right has got a lot of people, even those who contribute to this blog, sneakily having a go at Aucklanders, most of whom are fairly blameless in the big scheme of things. The vast majority did not vote for Brown. Unfortunately many work so hard they didn’t bother to vote at all. We spend hours in traffic each week. Everything takes longer for Aucklanders.
We have the highest expenses of almost anywhere in the country and if Aucklanders upped sticks and suddenly moved to your part of the country, you’d be complaining about that too.
Many Aucklanders have to be in Auckland. They do jobs that cannot be done anywhere else, so don’t be so rude to them.
If you’d had to endure the final big lockdown, you’d be feeling pretty annoyed too. You didn’t. You carried on oblivious to what was going on in Auckland.
I agree that Aucklanders were fools to get so cross that they banished Labour.
That was stupid and are they paying now? They sure are.
Aucklanders get up every day and struggle through horrendous traffic to get to ordinary paying jobs so that all you smug non-Aucklanders can be sure that when you need some kind of special service or help, it will be available.
The vast majority of people in Auckland are not the problem. We don’t all sit around in cafes all day looking at our phones. So, pull your heads in and be grateful we don’t all descend en masse on your idyllic little corner of the country.
You have fallen for the divide and rule tactic. You have more in common with the average Aucklander than you do with Brown, Luxon, Willis, Seymour, all of Act and the Epsom and Tamaki electorates, Bishop, and all the other dross that’s washed up in our parliament.
Correct Joy Auckland are suffering from total mismanagement at local level dealt by Goff, central government level by Ardern.
Auckland now in the capable hands of Mayor Brown.
