Israel’s ceasefire violations in Gaza continue — yet silence prevails over growing numbers of dead and injured

Victims 26-27 February 2025: 19 wounded

Israeli Occupation forces’ continued positioning on the northern and eastern outskirts of the Gaza Strip opened fire on, and wounded, 19 returning Palestinians. Another Palestinian prisoner, aresident of Deir Balah, has now died in an Israeli prison. The total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is at least 48,365 and that of the wounded is now 111,780. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 94 and, of those injured, it is more than 219.

Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.

Israeli Army attacks – fifth day – refugee camp: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, continued, for the fifth day, to storm the city and its refugee camp.

Israeli Army attacks – refugee camp – home invasions: Tulkarem – Israeli forces continued their storming of the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, opening fire while raiding several homes.

Israeli Army attacks – youngster shot dead: Qalqiliya – 16:00, Israeli troops, at the Eyal checkpoint, firing live ammunition and stun grenades, killed a 16-year-old youth: Hamed Fadl Muwafi.

Israeli Army attacks – 1 wounded – 2 abducted: Nablus – 09:55-14:55, the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, stormed the city, wounding a resident, Ayham Muhammad Shahada Abu Al-Wafa, and abducting two minors: Muhammad Osama Muhammad Yassin (aged 14) and Yasser Mahmoud Yasser Hamad (age 15). The soldiers also took prisoner one woman: Umm Baraa Kassab.

Death from air strike: Tulkarem – 15:40, Abdul Rahman Khaled Ibrahim Nawas, a resident of Nour Shams refugee camp, has now died from wounds sustained as a result of an air strike on the refugee camp in December last year.

Home invasion – stun grenades fired: Ramallah – evening, Israeli Occupation forces, firing stun grenades, raided the village of Nabi Saleh and invaded a home.

Home invasions – forced evacuations: Salfit – the Israeli military forced Muhammad Shahibar and his family to abandon their homes and evacuate the area between the town of Deir Ballut and the village of al-Lubban al-Gharbi.

Home invasions – stun grenades fired: Bethlehem – evening, Israeli soldiers, firing stun grenades, raided the village of al-Minya and invaded homes.

Home demolitions – the same families made homeless yet again: Hebron – the Israeli Army, destroyed 18 tent–dwellings in Yatta, housing more than ten families who had been made homeless by the Israeli military‘s demolition of their homes earlier this month. Occupation forces also destroyed a number of cave–dwellings, as well as the community’s water and electricity networks in thearea.

Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.

Israeli Army agricultural sabotage: Jerusalem – Occupation forces, in the village of Beit Iksa, bulldozed agricultural land and uprooted olive trees.

Israeli Army population–control: Jerusalem – morning, Israeli forces destroyed a house, being built in the village of Beit Ijza.

Israeli Army population–control: Jenin – 14:40, the Israeli Army took prisoner a man, Saif Akram Hoshiya, when he reported, as ordered, for interrogation by Israeli Military Intelligence.

Israeli Army violence and armed robbery control: Tubas – 10:10, Israeli troops, at the al-Sayrafi checkpoint, beat-up and hospitalised a resident of Tamoun, Sidqi Hamad Hamed Basharat, and robbed him of cash.

Israeli Army land-grab: Hebron – Israeli forces issued an order, for the seizure of 84.38 hectares of land, adjacent to the Carmiel Occupation settlement in the al-Masafer area of Yatta.

Occupation settler agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – Israeli Occupation settlers in the Jaba’ Plain area uprooted and/or felled around 100 olive trees.

Occupation settler violence: Salfit – 19:20, Israeli settlers invaded land in the Wadi al-Ein area near Deir Ballut and assaulted the owner, Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Qara’oush.

Occupation settler land-grab: Jericho – Occupation settlers built a settlement road north–west of the Arab al-Maliha community, to communicate with the Zohar settlement outpost adjacent to the Arab al-Maliha community.

Occupation settler pastoral sabotage and population control: Bethlehem – Israeli settlers set up camp in two al-Minya village areas, terrorising shepherds and forcing them off the land.

Occupation settler violence – beating and injury: Hebron – 03:10, Israeli Occupation settlers beat up and injured a man, Ahmad Jaber Nawajaa, near the village of Susiya.
