Israel’s ceasefire violations in Gaza continue — but silence prevails
over growing numbers of dead and injured
Victims 20–21 February 2025:
Israeli Occupation forces‘ continued positioning on the northern and eastern outskirts of the Gaza Strip opening fire threateningly towards returning Palestinians. The total number killed in Gaza,since 7 October 2023, is at least 48,319 and those wounded is at least 111,749. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 96 and, that of those injured, is more than 222.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attacks – child and adult wounded: Ramallah – 18:50, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed the villages of Shuqba and Shabtin, wounding a child and an adult.
Israeli Army attacks – home invasions – refugee camp: Jenin – Israel forces continued to storm the city and the refugee camp, firing live ammunition while raiding and searching homes.
Israeli Army attacks – arson – homes invaded – fatal road-rage: Tulkarem – the Israeli Army continued storming the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, invading homes and setting fire to a building in Nour Shams refugee camp. Outside the refugee camp, an Army vehicle travelling at high speed in the wrong direction hit a Palestinian motor vehicle killing one person, Ahmed Riyad Ahmed Awad, injuring his wife.
Israeli Army attack – home invasion – forced evacuation: Tulkarem – 03:15–04:30, Israeli troops stormed the town of Bal’a, opening fire on a house they were besieging and, after raiding and searching the house, ordered the family to evacuate their home.
Israeli Army attacks – child shot and wounded: Qalqiliya – 18:30, the Israeli military opened fire from the Annexation Wall on a 14-year-old boy, Yousef Bassam Jabara, wounding and hospitalising him.
Home invasion: Ramallah – 03:30–06:45, Israeli troops raided the city and invaded a house.
Home invasion: Qalqiliya – 03:35, Israeli troops raided the village of Hablat and invaded a home.
Home invasion and demolition: Nablus – 08:10, Israeli Occupation forces raided the village of Majdal Bani Fadel and demolished a house.
Home invasions: Jericho – 10:10, Israeli forces raided the village of Fasayil and searched seven homes.
Home invasions: Bethlehem – 02:30–06:10, Israeli troops raided the city of Bethlehem, Doha, al-Khadr, Janata and the al-Azza, Aida and Deheishe refugee camps invading homes as well as a workshop.
Home invasion: Hebron – 18:00-20:30, the Israeli Army raided the town of Bani Naim and invaded a house.
Israeli Occupation mosque violation and population control: Jerusalem – 15:40, the Israeli Occupation issued an order preventing a person, Suhaib Afana, from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque for the next six months.
Israeli Occupation mosque violation and population control: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.
Israeli Occupation agricultural sabotage and land theft: Nablus – Occupation forces in the village of Duma issued 25 orders forcing agricultural land owners to remove all crops and facilities and then to evacuate the land completely.
Israeli Occupation population control – 2 taken prisoner: Bethlehem – 16:10, the Israeli Army took two people, Ghassan Zawahra and Munir Al-Jaafari, prisoner when they reported, as ordered, for interrogation by Israeli Military Intelligence.
Occupation settler land-grab: Tubas – 13:50, Israeli Occupation settlers began preparation for the establishment of a new settlement outpost at an abandoned military site in the village of Bardala.
Occupation settler arson – agricultural sabotage: Qalqiliya – 18:10, Israeli settlers invaded Kafr Qaddum village farmland and set fire to an agricultural building.
Occupation settler violence: Nablus – 10:00, Occupation settlers assaulted the driver of a motor vehicle on the al-Mu’arrajat Road.
Occupation settler – agricultural sabotage: Hebron – 11:30, Israeli settlers dug up and ruined wheat and barley crops in the Shaab al-Batm of Yatta.
