Fucking Slack’nSlave eh, they hire goons as security guards and those goon security guards are breaching privacy using mass surveillance…

Foodstuffs admits its security staff leaked photo of ex-MP Golriz Ghahraman as new privacy breach emerges

  • The photo of Golriz Ghahraman being questioned in a supermarket was leaked by a Pak’nSave security guard.
  • Samoa’s Minister of Police says he was the victim of a similar leak from Pak’nSave to undermine his political position.
  • Security guards at Pak’nSave Manukau have been accused of trying to extort money out of shoppers, including taking their photographs.

Ground!

These fucking arseholes who use the cheapest slave labour and hire goons are now forwarding mass surveillance photos of people taken in their supermarket and are trying to blackmail them.

It is now open season on stealing from Slack’nSlave.

  1. No. After the multiple arsons of churches in Masterton, I wouldn’t recommend any burning. Bottom line is Golriz, alas, is the author of her own misfortune.

    • There’s often a lot more to these stories than gets reported in the media.
People don’t just wake up in the morning and decide they are going to burn down a church, or ram a police car.
All the surveillance in the world, won’t stop people doing the wrong thing, but does increase the chances for later consequences.

  2. I thought Foodstuffs North Island was a different company though linked business, to Foodstuffs South Island. If so, it is time for them to differentiate themselves from each other or poison the whole brand.

  3. For those of us who are too cautious to steal, I suggest making Privacy Act requests to Pakkers (direct it to the national organization) for any surveillance footage or other private data they hold on you. It will cost them more money than scanning some avocados as onions, and is the opposite of illegal.

  4. Shows the quality of the imported security guards being hired by these so called security companies .Do pack and slave even check if they have NZ qualifications .I would not be surprised if they are working for a family owned company and being charged for the job on a daily basis and then paid $5 per hour .

  5. This clearly demonstrates why supermarkets should not have facial recoy tech. Privacy Commission needs to step up and ban it.
