Gaza Strip
Israel’s ceasefire violations in Gaza continue — but silence prevails over growing numbers of dead and injured
Victims 17–18 February 2025:
Israeli Occupation forces‘ continued positioning on the northern and eastern outskirts of the Gaza Strip opened fire on, and killed, one returning Palestinian and wounded 13 others. Civil Defence crews retrieved the bodies of a further six people from under bomb-damaged buildings, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 48,291. The total wounded is now at least 111,722. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 96 and, that of those injured, is more than 223.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (even including permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack: Ramallah – 07:00, Israeli Occupation forces, stationed at the Beit Ur al-Tahta checkpoint, opened fire on a vehicle, claiming that it had failed to stop.
Israeli Army attack on refugee camp and city: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces are continuing to storm the city as well as the refugee camp, opening live–fire.
Israeli Army attack on refugee camps and city – home invasions: Tulkarem – lsraeli forces continue to storm the city as well as the Tulkarem and Nour Shams refugee camps, opening fire while invading homes.
Israeli Army attack on village – 1 youngster wounded: Nablus – 17:20-20:30, the Israeli Army, firing live ammunition, stormed the village of Tal, wounding a 15-year-old boy: Kinan Bashar Ali Ishtia.
Death of youngster: Jenin – 15-year-old Diaa al-Din Saba’neh has now died from wounds he sustained in a drone strike on a vehicle in Qabatiya on 2 February.
Home invasion and forced personal demolition: Jerusalem – 15:00, the Israeli Occupation forced the Halsa family to destroy an apartment building in the Jabal al-Mukabir neighbourhood – or otherwise be forced to pay an extortionate sum to the Israeli Occupation demolition squads, who would be sent in to do it.
Home invasion: Nablus – 01:05–03:00, Israeli troops raided the town of Huwara and invaded a home.
Home invasion and demolition: Salfit – 05:40, Israeli forces raided the town of Kafr al-Dik and demolished a house.

Israeli Army – 2 youngsters abducted: Ramallah – 08:50, the Israeli Army, in al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya, abducted two 15-year-old boys: Maysar Jumaa Yazan and Mujahid Muhammad Al-Hatal
Israeli Army population–control: Ramallah – 14:00, Israeli troops took prisoner a man, Salama Muhammad Dheeb, when he reported, as ordered, for interrogation at Israeli Military Intelligence.
Israeli Army armed robbery: Nablus – 10:25, the Israeli military seized a bulldozer from one person while raiding the town of Beitin.
Israeli Army mosque violation and population–control: Nablus – evening, Israeli soldiers, raiding the village of Burqa, invaded a mosque, forced a halt to afternoon prayer and interrogated worshippers.
Israeli Army armed robbery: Salfit – 18:40, Israeli checkpoint troops, at the entrance to Deir Ballut, robbed three people, Rabie Yasser Mustafa, Mahmoud Hamdallah Shahada and Raed Suleiman Abdul Mahdi, of various amounts of cash.
Israeli Army agricultural sabotage: Bethlehem – the Israeli military uprooted dozens of olive and almond seedlings, in an area west of Nahalin.
Israeli Army population–control: Hebron – Israeli Occupation forces prevented teachers and students from entering the Ibrahimiya School in the Old City, for the second day in a row.
Occupation settlement development – land-grab: Salfit – the Israeli Occupation’s Supreme Planning Council presented a detailed plan, to enlarge the Etz Efraim settlement on seized land at the expense of the the village of Mas’ha, in order to build 73 new Occupation settlement units.
Occupation settlement development – land-grab: Bethlehem – the Israeli Peace Now movement has revealed that Israel has begun procedures towards the building of 974 new settlement units on what is intended to be a a new neighbourhood to be added to the Efrat Occupation settlement.
Occupation settler arson and racist vandalism: Ramallah – dawn, Israeli Occupation settlers invaded the Wadi al-Zarqa area, near the village of Beit Lilo, and set fire to four pumps that distribute water to 200 hectares of land. They also vandalised a greenhouse and sprayed racist insults about Beit Lilo villagers.
Occupation settler plunder – pastoral sabotage: Ramallah – 11:40, Israeli settlers raided an area, east of Deir Dibwan, and stole a number of sheep.
Occupation settler violence – agricultural sabotage: Ramallah – 14:00, Occupation settlers invaded Rantis village agricultural land and assaulted a working farmer, pepper–spraying him in the face.
