  • For a long time PSNA has called for scrutiny of Israeli visa-free entry to Aotearoa-New Zealand and  the discrimination against Palestinians who are denied the privilege  of visa-free entry status.
  • However, since Oct 7th efforts have been renewed including approaches to Min of Immigration Erica Standford and protests at her electorate office. Requests for changes to the entry policies to  the PM Luxon and Deputy PM  Winston Peters have been ignored.
  • The Hotline initiative has been the most successful campaign since Oct 7th  by highlighting policy changes that can and should be implemented here in Aotearoa-NZ.

State Department announces $7 billion arms sale to Israel, circumventing review process

The State Department on Friday announced a $7 billion arms sale to Israel, circumventing the congressional review process, according to Rep. Gregory Meeks, the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The announcement, which includes thousands of Hellfire missiles and bombs, comes days after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met President Donald Trump and other top administration officials in Washington, DC. Netanyahu was the first foreign leader to meet with Trump at the White House in his second term.

During the standard congressional review process, the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee are notified of the arms sale and given time to raise concerns and ask questions. But even with questions outstanding from Meeks, the administration pushed forward with the sale.

“This move is yet another repudiation by Donald Trump of Congress’ rightful and legitimate oversight prerogative,” Meeks said in a statement Friday. “Furthermore, (Secretary of State Marco) Rubio has failed to provide adequate justification or documentation for bypassing the Congressional Committee review process.”

  1. Was about to say I have no problem with Palestinians holidaying in NZ, even though I think the “Palestinian Political Process” is just another euphemism for “Kill Jews.” Then I remembered the changes to working visas. Can’t have anyone whose main job is shooting people working from home while they holiday in a backpackers in Mt Roskill. That’d wake the middle classes up… 10am, brunch, eggs benedict, avocado mash, $8 cups of coffee, punctuated by Galils and AKs! Can’t this government get anything right?

  2. I keep wondering why American taxpayers do not become irate at the thought of their tax dollars being spent to support Israel.
Can it be that the idiots who march chanting ‘Jews will not replace us!’ must realise their Trump idol is the patron of an exclusively Jewish state?
Maybe MacDonalds puts something in their food to make them all like Zelda and Gaby.
