Ram raider attempts to flee from crime

How do you know that David Seymour is one of the best politicians we have?

Because everyone is focused on his dumb landcover stunt, his Polky support letter and whatever silly quip that pops out of Seymour’s mouth.

No one is talking about corrosive Treaty Referendum Bill he has spawned.

No one is talking about the incredibly dangerous Regulatory Standards Bill.

And no one is talking about how ACTs President was convicted of historic sex abuse claims and managed to keep it secret over the election while ACT campaigned on tough on crime.

No one is asking how the Youth wing of ACT knew about Jago before the leadership…

…no one is asking who wrote this in 2021…

ACT Party newsletter slammed for saying one violent or sexual offence ‘might be a regrettable mistake’

A newsletter by the ACT Party stating one serious violent or sexual offence might be a “regrettable mistake” is disappointing and shows more education is needed around the issue, victims’ advocate Louise Nicholas says.

In ACT’s weekly Free Press newsletter, the party discusses its opposition to repealing the three strikes law – which the Government announced it would do last week. The three-strikes law means third-time serious offenders get the maximum sentence with no chance of parole.

“We don’t mind giving people a second chance, maybe even a third chance, but we don’t think they deserve a fourth chance,” the newsletter says.

“One serious violent or sexual offence might be a regrettable mistake. Perhaps even two, at a pinch.

“It makes sense to rehabilitate people if they can be… For them, for the taxpayer, and for everyone, because even the longest sentence ends eventually. But at some point, rehab don’t work.

“After three serious violent or sexual offences, it is time to throw away the key.”

Nicholas told Newshub said the “regrettable mistake” comment was a “ridiculous statement”.

…no one is holding David to account for the things that matter and are led astray by his stunts.

It’s Trump’s tactic and NZ media are falling for it.

  1. The master of the smoke screen while real shit is pushed through parliament which is why Luxon keeps the cunt on the pay roll .In the corporate world he would have been long gone .

  2. National might not be as successful in diversion but they are quite good at announcements that completely mislead. Think meaningless tax cuts, while they increase fees and costs and tell you, you are better or not spending government money on infrastructure without telling you it will cost you more when some sovereign wealth fund is making you pay for it. The classic however might still be saying they are more responsible but actually borrowing more than the last lot for absolutely nothing in return.

  3. I wish the opposition would stop wasting questions on the grandstanding shite, and question the libertarian policy announcements.
