What smug certitude at costing billions more on Ferries you threw a tantrum over looks like

Hard Right Free Market Think Tank, The NZ Initiative, applauds its former acolyte Nicola Willis that’s more cheerleading propaganda than genuine media release…

…Willis was the director of the New Zealand Initiative from May 2016 until February 2017, meanwhile another former NZ Initiative acolyte, Political Report Luke Malpass who was a Researcher for the Initiative is an investment that just keeps giving for the Hard Right Free Marketeers…

…Hard Right Free Market Think Tank, The NZ Initiative, is linked to the Harder Right Free Market International Think Tank, The Atlas Network who are funded by dark money to promote the interests of the radical Billionaire clique and polluters.

Most people have no idea the Finance Minister and Senior Political Editor are part of a Free Market Network working as corrosively as possible before anyone notices.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

  1. As it may not be fully clear in the article, the reference is to Atlas handpuppet Luke Malpass being the Political Editor at Stuff keeping any criticism of the pedophile defender David Seymour out.

  2. The supermarket chains are too powerful for any competition. Probably donators to the national party who don’t really care whether bottom feeders can afford food or not

  3. NICOLA: I’m saving money by not even owning a car!
I did try and get a car, and handed over funds to a world leading car maker, to get a state of the art hybrid, that would see me happily motoring long into the future.
But when I found out what building a carport would cost, well I couldn’t go ahead with it on my budget, so I canceled the carport, and then I had to cancel the car as well. But I’m happy with my decision, it was only 0.5$billion, which isn’t much in the great scheme of things, I mean how many school lunches is that?

  4. I would argue the NZ Initiative is at least as far right as the Atlas Network if not even more extremist.
Economically, NZ is the most right of any country in the world. We are the global leaders in the implementation of neoliberal policies designed to channel all wealth into the hands of the elite.
Of course we have some left wing social policies, but these have always been mere tinkering at the edges with the sole purpose of quelling any dissent. The whole NZ economy is like the NZ ecosystem, unbalanced and overrun with pests and pollution from industries who can’t stand on their own 2 feet with taxpayer assistance.
Now, however, as the western world begins to implode, all the surveillance systems and underground bunkers are in place, and it is every man and woman for themselves and corporations and political leaders don’t even bother with social nicities or the pretence of caring about the people.
The people are now officially the enemy.

    • A truth unfolding rapidly every minute of everyday in Trump’s/Musk’s Amerika. No hiding anymore. I find it interesting the hard right in NZ keep denying their Atlas Network connections and Project 25 song book.. Why bother, the Trump admistration certainly isn’t. Tho they still tell some blatent lies…

  5. Unless Willis has the gonads to regulate and enforce the Supermarket cartels profit margin (communism) there will be no chance of cheaper prices.
They have to buy, transport, market, administer etc then make a profit for the shareholders.
I can’t imagine their supplier, transporter, staff etc are going to reduce their prices so why would the retailers be expected to reduce theirs.
In our town of 45000 we have 7 fuel retailers and still pay the same as we did when we had the 4 so called major brands.

  6. Willis and her mates are doing a great job of sending NZ to the wall .I see another top person has resigned from health today .Wow Brown moves in and the exodus becomes an avalanch .Levy clearly will be gone soon as he has failed at the first hurdle with his first so called plan 6 months late in being delivered and looking like it wont be delivered any time soon .
Health will be rudderless very soon with the dweeb left sitting in the corner rocking back and forth sucking his thumb .

  7. Willis is a success alright she sunk 2 brand new state of the art ferries and now is adding health to her bow .First she has under funded health and now she has Brown in place to finish the job .
We are in big trouble here folks .

    • REPENT THE END IS NIGH. Saw that on a sandwich board in London in the 1970s. Time is relative. Seems like yesterday.

  8. We desperately need an early election, the country like a rudderless ship is now at the mercy of the elements, a pretend captain with a navigator that can’t read a map let alone set a course and a motley crew of numbskulls.

    • Maybe Winston will spit the dummy once Seymour is debuty and bring the whole playhouse down. It’s a faint hope

    • I’ve got a tea towel covered with names of NZ towns and presume they are all ones where a FourSquare store was. Life was simpler then. Talked to the postman today. Good chap. NZAO for ordinary people, not a stopover for computer nomads, or holiday mads, or any mads. Let’s be poor and whiny and forget about being rich and never being happy – sort of ends the same it seems?

  9. Utter nonsense from Willis who has no idea how to bust up a monopoly and even if she did she would have no intention of doing so. A complete incompetent who thinks digital nomads will be the economic saviour of NZ.
