Gaza Strip
Israel’s ceasefire violations in Gaza continue — yet silence prevails over more deaths and injuries:
Victims 7–8 February 2025
Israeli Occupation forces opened fire on returning Palestinians in Northern Gaza, killing four people. In addition, 22 more deceased bodies of Palestinians have been recovered from beneath bomb–sites. The Ministry of Health in Gaza has added 572 more people killed to the lists of deceased victims. Another five wounded have arrived seeking treatment. The total number killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is now at least 48,181 and, of those wounded, it is more than 111,638. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 98 and, of those injured, thatis more than 227.
West Bank
Palestinian Monitoring Group — Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (including even permit-holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially-negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack: Jenin – Israeli Occupation forces continue to storm the city as well as the refugee camp, firing live ammunition and terrorising two residents in the city.
Israeli Army – families forced out of their homes at gunpoint: Tubas – Since 03:20 on Sunday, 02 February, Israeli forces have been continuing to storm the al-Far’a refugee camp, searching homes and forcing families out of their homes with nowhere to shelter. The Israeli Army used explosives to destroy a water storage tank and took prisoner a resident.
Israeli Army – homes searched – widespread destruction: Tubas – since 05:10 on 02 February, the Israeli Army has been storming the town of Tamoun, opening fire and wounding one person, Osama Hussein Bani Odeh, and firing three drone-launched missiles, injuring one other resident. At 11:00 on the 7 February, Israeli forces imposed a curfew and began searching homes again, injuring yet another resident. Israeli troops also uprooted a number of trees near the town clinic, destroyed a business, demolished a livestock shelter and vandalised property in the Al-Salat area,destroying the wall around the Tamoun Boys’ Elementary School, and damaging a water pipeline.
Israeli Army – families forced out of their homes at gunpoint: Tulkarem – 14:20, Israeli troops stormed the city as well as the Tulkarem refugee camp, firing live ammunition and invading homes, forcing more families, at gunpoint, to evacuate their homes. Both the Thabet Governmental and Al-Isra Hospitals remain under siege.
Israeli Army attack – explosives – vandalism: Nablus – 22:40-06:50, the Israeli military stormed the city and used explosives to destroy a warehouse.
Israeli Army attack: Nablus – 22:40-06:50, Israeli soldiers stormed the Askar refugee camp, taking prisoner a resident in the Balata refugee camp and destroying one of the streets.
Israeli Army attack: Nablus – 12:55, Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed into Tal village.
Death of child: Tulkarem – 19:50, an 11-year-old child, Saddam Hussein Iyad Muhammad Rajab, has now died of wounds sustained earlier in an Israeli Army attack on the city.
Home invasion – beating-up and hospitalisation: Ramallah – 21:30, Israeli Occupation forces raided the town of Kobar and invaded a home, beating–up and hospitalising a resident: Fakhri Al-Barghouthi.
Home invasions – 3 residents taken prisoner: Jenin – 03:30, Israeli Occupation forces stormed al-Yamoun, invaded a number of homes and took prisoner three residents.
