Israel’s ceasefire violations in Gaza continue

Victims 4–5 February 2025:

Holding onto their positions in the Netzarim and Philadelphi buffer zones, as well as the northern and eastern outskirts of the Gaza Strip, Israeli Occupation forces opened fire on Palestinians returning to their ruined homes, wounding 11 people. Four more people died from previous wounds and another eight bodies have been recovered from under bomb-damaged property. The total number killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, is now at least 47,552 and, of those wounded, more than 111,629. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 97 and, thatof those injured, is more than 229.

Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (including even permit– holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, other than for especially–negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.

Israeli Army attack – homes destroyed – 1 woman injured and hospitalised: Jenin – the storming of the city as well as the refugee camp by Israeli Occupation forces continues, with more houses destroyed with explosives. One seriously–injured woman resident was, thankfully, rescued from under her ruined home and hospitalised. Yet more residents were forced by Israeli troops to evacuate their homes.

Israeli Army attack – families forced to flee town: Tubas – 05:10, Israeli troops continued to storm the town of Tamoun and used drones to launch more missiles, targeting another eight sites in the town. Nine men and three women were taken prisoner by Occupation troops and several families were forced to flee the town all together.

Israeli Army attack – homes destroyed – youngster beaten–up and hospitalised: Tulkarem – Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition, stormed the city and the refugee camp, using explosives to destroy three homes in the refugee camp. Israeli troops also beat–up and hospitalised a 16-year-old youth: Ziad Abdullah Ali Dhnibi.

Home invasion and child abduction: Jerusalem – 18:00, Israeli Occupation forces invaded a home in the Old City and abducted a 14-year-old boy: Majd Ihab Younis Al-Zughair.

Home invasion: Ramallah – 12:15, Israeli forces raided Silwad and searched a house.

Home invasion: Ramallah – 15:55, the Israeli Army raided the city of al-Bireh and searched a home.

Home invasions and destruction: Tubas – Israeli forces continued their storming of the al-Far’a refugee camp, invading a number of homes, bulldozing the main market street and destroying otherinfrastructure.

Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.
