The reactions of Trump, Vance and families to reverend’s plea for mercy to LGBTQ+ people and migrants in church

At the inaugural prayer service, the Right Reverend Mariann Budde, the Episcopal bishop of Washington, made a direct appeal to President Donald Trump to have mercy on the LGBTQ+ community and undocumented migrant workers.

Referencing Trump’s belief that he was saved by God from assassination, Budde said, “You have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now.”

There are rare moments when you can see God.

Rare moments when the power of the church means something.

Begging an angry orange President to have mercy on his enemies showed more courage, strength and true Christianity than anything else during Trump’s inauguration.

Thank you Right Reverend Mariann Budde for showing us all God for a moment.

    • well said and so agree.
Lets hope in due course and soon Karmic Payback hits Trump like an uncontrolled freight train.

    • Very very scary evil looking bunch of people with demonic sneering expressions, I have never seen the like of before in the same instance. The bishop showed incredible courage speaking to the face of that, imparting a truly real Christian message. An impressively brave brave women. What a collection of demons the Trumps and associates are. And as for Malania, she looks like an evil witch from Mordor.

  1. Melania: See, I told you.

JD Vance: Should I get out the hoods and the cross?

Trump: Ha Ha. I didn’t put my hand on the bible.

  2. Yeah that was completely weird, if Biden had done that all hell would break loose, but Trump’s Christian base haven’t said a peep. It was creepy as hell he didn’t put his hand on the Bible considering the symbology Americans are into and the rituals they adhere to.

  3. Reminds me a bit of our PM (the level of arrogance) who does not like to be told what he should and needs to do as he thinks he already knows everything, is that why our county is in a deep recession, thousands leaving and spiraling.
