Gaza Strip
Attacks: There are no safe places for the militarily-dominated population in Gaza, who find themselves subjected to airstrikes and other missile attacks on buildings, homes and many essentialfacilities, as well as constant gunfire and invasions by Israeli forces. The Israeli Navy continues to fire missiles, targeting facilities and buildings along the entire Gaza shoreline.
• At 11:15 on 19 January, work began on implementing the three-stage ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, including the cessation of military operations and withdrawal from built-up areas to the northern and eastern outskirts, facilitating bringing in food, medical aid and fuel as well as exchanging prisoners, opening the Rafah Crossing and gradually withdrawing from the Netzarim and Philadelphi corridors between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. However, Israeli Occupation forces continued to position themselves inside the corridors, opening fire on people and conducting a quadcopter airstrike on a group of residents.
Victims: 72 more people have been killed within the past 24 hours, (including three as a result of the gunfire) and the recovery of 68 bodies from under bomb–damage rubble, in addition to yetanother person dying from wounds, bringing the total number killed since 7 October 2023 to at least 47,107. Another 56 wounded people have arrived in hospital, bringing that total to 111,147. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 99 and, that of those injured, is now more than 235.
Rafah – afternoon, Occupation forces opened fire on people south of Rafah city, killing a child and an adult.
Rafah – evening, Israeli forces shot and killed a child, Zakaria Hamid Yahya Barbakh, near the al-Awda roundabout in the city centre.
Rafah – afternoon a quadcopter drone airstrike injured three people.
West Bank

Since midnight on 07 October 2023, Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure around the whole of the West Bank, preventing people (including even permit– holders) from entering both Jerusalem City as well as Israel, otherwise than for especially–negotiated exceptions. Permanent military checkpoints impose severe travel restrictions within the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded – 6 taken prisoner: Tulkarem – 04:10, one resident, Wassim Maher Asaad, was wounded as Israeli Occupation forces, firing live ammunition and searching homes, stormed the Shweika suburb. Six other residents were taken prisoner.
Israeli Army attack – home invasions and population–control: Qalqiliya – 17:50, Israeli forces, firing live ammunition, stormed the town of Azzun, invading several homes and interrogating 70residents.
Home invasions – 1 taken prisoner: Qalqiliya – 22:00, Israeli Occupation forces, firing stun grenades raided the village of Jinsafut and invaded several homes, taking one resident prisoner.
Home invasions – in refugee camp – 1 beaten-up and hospitalised: Jericho – 00:45–, Israeli forces raided the Aqbat Jabir refugee camp, invading homes and severely beating-up and hospitalising a resident.
Home invasions – 1 taken prisoner: Hebron – morning, the Israeli Army raided the town of Beit Ummar, taking prisoner a journalist after raiding her home.
Home invasion by settlers – terrorism: Hebron – evening, Israeli settlers stormed the home of Osama Hamamda and terrorised the neighbourhood.
Israeli police and settlers’ mosque violation: Jerusalem – 08:00, Israeli settlers, escorted by Occupation police, invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and molested worshippers.
Israeli Army assault with stun grenades: Jerusalem – morning, Israeli Occupation forces fired stun grenades at people waiting to pass through the Jaba checkpoint and obstructed traffic.

Israeli Army – armed robbery – beating-up: Nablus – 11:10, Israeli soldiers, at the al-Muraba’a checkpoint, so severely beat-up a man, Alam Ali Saad, while robbing him of cash equivalent in value to around $US1500, he had to be admitted to the Huwara Clinic for treatment.

Occupation settler stoning: Tulkarem – midnight, Israeli settlers stoned a petrol station in Beit Lid.
Occupation settler arson attacks – beatings-up – 12 injured: Qalqiliya – 21:45, stone-throwing Israeli settlers invaded the villages of Jinsafut and al-Funduq, attacking homes and setting fire to homes, vehicles, a bulldozer, an agricultural nursery and a carpentry shop on the main Qalqiliya-Nablus road. They also severely beat-up a number of residents trying to defend themselves and their property, injuring 12 people.
