Twelve-year-old stopped by police for wearing a boxing club shirt=
There are concerns police have misused a new gang patch ban law after a 12-year-old boy was questioned on Christmas Day for wearing a boxing gym t-shirt, featuring elements of the Black Power logo.
The boy was walking to a friend’s house on Wednesday when officers, earlier responding to a medical event across the road, approached him.
They told the 12-year-old they were allowed to confiscate his t-shirt, which displayed the logo of his boxing gym.
These fucking pigs am I right?
A 12 year old on Christmas Day eh?
What a bunch of tough cops.
A 12 year old on Christmas Day, and the reason is because the Boxing Club T-Shirt has a ‘raised fist’.
Ok pigs, I wear lots of T-shirts with this raised fist on it…

…you gonna arrest me champs?
I dare the NZ Pigs to arrest me for wear that symbol.
I fucking double dare you pigs to do it.
The insanity of wardrobe policing is something the Iranian fucking regime carries out and you sleepy hobbits of muddle Nu Zilind went along with the gang patch ban because you thought it would solve problems rather than create them.
The only reason these pigs dropped the case, because they were going to charge this kid, was because the news media caught tiff of it.
I triple dare the NZ Pigs to arrest me for wearing raised fist.
Why are you tough enough to arrest a 12 year old on his own on Christmas Day but you won’t arrest me?
Come on boys, try it on with someone who will fight back you fucking cowards!
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

It also appears these cretins of a government will be targeting 9/10 year olds under the cover of social investment too
A boxing gym featuring a Black Power logo on its tshirt can put a bit of a burden on kids. Ditto if a boxing gym used a white power emblem on their’s. As a parent I’d not be happy with either.
Just shows what a buch of cunts NZ has become .How the fuck is it right to arrest a kid for wearing a shirt from a sport club .Grow up you idiots you voted for this shit and next you will be wondering why he has committed a ram raid or some other crime .
Thanks to the winging crushed middle we have now got the begings of a police state .I hope you are enjoying the massive improvement in the cost of living and soaring house prices .Look out next year you will be next in line to be bottom dwellers .
According to this report, he was questioned by the police, not arrested. Kid on his own wandering around wearing a gang-looking shirt could be doing anything.
Aunt Daisy – he was detained by cops, because he is too young to be arrested. Then he was driven home by the cops where his t-shirt, which was a Christmas gift, was confiscated and it will not be returned to him. All because the symbol on the t-shirt had a closed fist which the black power also use. The words Kia Kaha on the t-shirt mean “Be Strong”. He belongs to a boxing gym for heaven’s sake.
The kid has also been referred to the youth aid section in the police which means he will be lectured and told off and probably made to do some community work. This is because he is too young to be charged but he will have it rammed home to him that he has committed a crime, which he hasn’t. How do I know this? I spoke to my father’s mate who is an ex-cop (one of the good ones).
So much for developing kids into law abiding adults!!!
It’s not just a case of using a logo which the Black Power gang also happens to use. The Boxing Club which this child attends, is run by Black Power.
Aunt Daisy – so what???
since when has it been a crime to walk to your friends place to visit .When I was this kids age we always walked or biked to our mates places .What the hell is wrong with you people ?if he sat around on a device all day you would call him a lazy bugger .Because he belongs to a boxing club and chooses to walk to visit someone he is a criminal in your eyes .
Spot on Gordon Walker
He was walking to his mates house to ask him if he wanted to come over for a bbq. News media said he was arrested, and then referred to Youth Aide! Seriously! Just not appropriate on any level!
You have obviously missed a year .Rising prices of goods and houses was under Labour .We now have.a better team in charge so prices are dropping as inflation is controlled .
Who the fuck are you trying to kid Trevor? People who actually spend money on groceries, rent, gas, and sundries, or yourself? This is the most delusional thing you have said all year.
I wonder if this kid was white and the boxing club was in Luxons church would he have been harrased .?
This kid’s boxing club is gang associated, which is why the police questioned him If Luxon’s church ran a gang like Black Power’s boxing club, and they wore their logo, they could get questioned.
He could maybe join something like a swimming club, without any negative or criminal associations, and become an expert swimmer, part of a healthy sort of group.
what is wrong with boxing as a sport for young people .Go to your local club and see how hard they train and how fit they become .He may not like swimming in the shit filled seas around aukland .
The gang patch ban has worked out far better than was some suggested .No fights to the death and a high compliance rate even at funerals. .As the ban has allowed homes to be entered many other crimes have been uncovered.. They gangs are not silly and most know that it costs money to fight the police .
Oh Trevor it seems you are going into 2025 as gormless as you have been up till now.
When will you ever learn?

Long time ago
Where have all the husbands gone?
Gone for soldiers, every one
Oh, when will they ever learn?
(This is the outcome, repeatedly, of one gang setting itself against another gang. In this case, objectively, the police are wearing one uniform and the gangs another! We can do smarter, but need more thought and canniness, less irrational reruns.)
“Wearing communist symbols just gets you laughed at, not arrested.”
True if one person wearing them. Get ten thousand to wear them and see government quickly invoke police powers. Reference New Zealand history. 1950s waterfront dispute. 1930s unemployed protests.
It is nice to think that banning gang patches will make gangs go away – like banning Ku Klux Klan regalia made that organisation disappear( didn’t it?)
The Chinese Communist Party continues to believe that banning the Tibetan Flag and portraits of the Dalai Lama will weaken desire for Tibetan independence. Forbidding Chinese Muslims from public worship will weaken the movement for Xinjiang’s freedom.
Of course increased unemployment, drug addiction and poverty will join with the ban on gang patches to cause the gangs to wither away( won’t it).
There is money in this for someone+plus. A series of t-shirts with clever satirical or Pythonesque graffiti on in different collections, limited runs so that any with-it person would try and get the whole collection as an art and history investment of a time of crux and crumble in Kiwiland. Go for it you talented fabric and screen printing artists – be the new Banksys. (See I am commercially minded enabling trade as well as a cultural thinker and future dreamer.)
I have several long sleeved Ts with “STOP WARS” on the front in the classic Star Wars font, on the back is the fist circled by “All Power to the People”.
More should wear such garments to let the plods know “snatch the patch” is not acceptable. Freedom of assembly, association, and speech are vital.
The lad was arrested and passed to child protection criminal justic. Lucky some intelegence interveined, and there we are.
Maybe, looking for BOOT CAMP, PROSPECTS, AS FAILURE FOLLOWS STUPIDITY.
Is this part of the plan outlined on RadioNZ?
https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/in-depth/537685/government-coy-on-police-plan-to-target-at-risk-children-for-social-investment
…In a May briefing to Police Minister Mark Mitchell, police floated the idea of “targeted prevention support to 9 to 12-year-olds to prevent them entering the youth justice system”.
Social investment involves using data and evidence to identify people with the greatest needs and was first championed in 2015 by former Prime Minister Bill English, who believed early intervention could save the government money over a person’s lifetime, and it is back on the agenda, driven by Finance and Social Investment Minister Nicola Willis, who once worked for English. [Early intervention? What type, as that is a term with many possible actions depending on the mindset of the often-spiteful humans concerned?]
The briefing, ahead of the first ‘Social Investment Ministers Group’ meeting on 22 May, said three-quarters of youth crime was carried out by the “10 percent of young people who have the greatest exposure to hardship and disadvantage”.
These children were most likely to have been exposed to family violence, poverty, had contact with Oranga Tamariki, and have parents who had experienced drug or alcohol addiction, poor mental health, or had been in prison, the paper said.
“We propose targeting support to 9 to 12-year-old children experiencing hardship and disadvantage to ensure they are on track to succeed and prevent them entering the youth justice system in the next five years.”
Police could identify these children through family harm incidents they attended, or because they were siblings of children and young people who had already offended, the paper said…
A laconic remark that cynical USA people adopted is ‘The government is here to help you.’
When it usually wasn’t. I feel the same in this case.
Greywarbler. Bill English, IMO, is an odious little sociopath not averse to feathering his own family’s nest while interfering heavy-handedly in others with not one iota of evidence that they will benefit from state intervention. In fact the history of state intervention in New Zealand suggests otherwise and some of his utterings, IMO, suggest that he’s either mad or bad, and it’s appalling that government dimwits even listen to him.
I see that the police dislike the law enough to make a mockery of both it and the Minister.
Reverse the fist, raise the middle finger, perhaps they will find that less objectionable.
This is truly becoming a pathetic hole of a country.
