Prime Minister confirms he won’t be at Treaty Grounds on Waitangi Day

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has confirmed he will not attend events at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds on Waitangi Day.

COWARD!

After allowing ACT to trash the Treaty, after allowing NZF to try and remove all Treaty references in legislation and after National’s own racist actions, after all that, Luxon is too much of a coward to face the music at Waitangi!?!

    The media’s next question should have immediately been …Offers by who and where?… But that question was never asked.

    His answer would then have lead to more searching questions about why he would go to those places rather than the ‘big dog’ place and also where his head is at..

    A lack of quality media is allowing the rapid decline of this country.

  7. You are harsh on Luxon who is more and more coming across as a supporter of the Trat being a pPartnership and in favour of Co Governance.

    If he was anything different he would be supporting Articles 1 and 3 of the Treaty Principles Bill but it seems he only favours the wide open (as amended) Article 2 which lends itself to Partnership and Co Governance by stealth.

  8. Have you noticed that this government quietly cut the program for bowel cancer testing for Maori ?No you probbaly have not because the useless media has not reported it till today is a small story tucked away in the corner of page 50 some where .

    • Bowel cancer screening has been cut for ALL races depending on previous colonoscope history. You move onto the poop test. So technically still a screening test available to ALL races. Ask your doctor to go on the screening list if no longer eligible for a colonoscopy. (Had three clear (five year interval) colonoscopy tests (due to bowel cancer in the family) bfore moving to the poop screening one for life) Simple test fully documented, done every three years with full instruction and prepaid courier bags (cardboard box actually). Goes to a laboratory in Australia.

      So NO racism involved AT ALL.

  9. I first met Luxon while I was part of a union executive at AirNZ. I knew then that he was a complete cock who would eventually run for National.

    The staff referred to him as “Uncle Fester”. He was extremely unpopular.

    I never forget when he threw down Jesus as his backer during wage negotiations.

    May he be thrown out of the beehive ASAP.

  10. Here’s a thought. The TPB is Luxon’s poisoned chalice. Whether the tragedy plays out as it did for Macbeth, who travels down a dark path of treachery and violence that inevitably leads to his own downfall and death, well, that’s a bit too dramatic. But as much as he will avoid the issue it probably won’t end well for him.

    • I think you are right. Luxon thought he was being very clever, as always, but it was clear that he’d grabbed a tiger by the tail, as my dad used to say.
      It’s more than him not wanting to offend a coalition partner. We now know, it wasn’t part of the partner’s requirements. He blindly walked into this problem all by his silly self.
      The longer he leaves it, the worse it will be. Has he given up on his knighthood?
      It appears so!
