Two flashpoints, two failures of US Policy.
Biden has given Zelensky his final gasp before Trump sells the Ukrainians out for Putin by green-lighting the use of Western missiles to strike deep inside Mother Russia.
Putin has responded by using his own missiles capable of carrying multiple warheads.
I’m unlike many of my Left wing comrades in that I have zero time for Putin.
The guy is a former KGB thug who has used the most deplorable tactics to take over Russia and his brutal authoritarianism has seen him willingly butcher and maim 700 000 of his own men in this terrible Ukrainian war.
The bleating by Putin apologists that somehow Putin is justified because the West did blah blah blah doesn’t excuse launching an invasion of another country and it doesn’t justify the human suffering that has come about from that.
Sure the American Military Industrial Complex is evil and has made money from this and will fight Russia till the last dead Ukrainian, but none of that justifies what Putin did.
We are now at the most dangerous time in the war because the clock is ticking util Trump is sworn in and immediately forces Zelensky into surrendering to Putin.
Putin can afford to commit one more atrocity in response to Zelensky’s final gasp, so expect far more murder and bloodshed before Trump amputates any honour for a gruesome peace.
Meanwhile the war crimes committed by Israel (war crimes now recognised by the ICC with warrants issued against Netanyahu) will only get far worse.
Trump has appointed Christian Fanatic Mike Huckerbee as the US Ambassador and because Mike is on the record stating there is no such thing as a Palestinian or the West Bank, expect Israel’s ethnic cleaning war crime to go up a notch to full blown genocide as Israel simply moves in to take over Gaza and the West Bank permanently.
Global conflict will only get far worse under Trump, not any better.

And the reason why countries like Russia and China clamp down on free speech etc? Ask Venezuela, Bolivia, most of Central and South America, African countries- Ok, most of the Globe. If any country does not comply with the US’s ‘New World Order’ , they will send in the CIA and set the wheels in motion towards regime change, usually a coup, and if that fails a manufactured reason for invasion. History does not lie. It’s a shame Martyn ignores the events that led to the invasion of Ukraine, which those of us of the Left who have researched this conflict understand, going even further back then the Maidan revolution. Netanyahu….he is just a genocidal, zionist war criminal.

Putin stated Russia’s redline on Ukraine. It’s the same geopolitic redline that Gorbachev had and any other Russian leader would have. No doubt Putin is repressive but isn’t that the Russian peoples job to sort out.
You have to ask the why?
USA funded actual Azov Nazis. Victoria Nuland colour couped the democratically elected govt in Ukraine. USA cut Germanys gas supply so it could sell Germany US gas. The winner gets the Gas in East Ukraine. Blackrock gets to fund a war. US, British and Russian MIC get a nice big earner.
Ukraine could have been neutral or abided by Minsk but Western warmongers wouldn’t allow it.
