As the dust settles from the unprecedented Hikoi, the reaction of National, NZF and ACT have been nothing short of disgraceful!
Luxon refusing to meet the Hikoi because according to him, it was all a Māori Party protest is such a slap in the face to Māoridom and the concerns of the wider community.
Luxon went on to claim he didn’t need to meet with the protestors because he always sees the Māori Party MPs and that he had met with Iwi but refused to say which ones.
It is deplorable that Luxon didn’t even have the courage to face the people, remember we are only having this Bill because Luxon is so weak and crap at negotiating that he got out played by Seymour.
National’s apologists were just embarrassing..

…Before reading that tweet, did you know the tweeter is a right wing pollster? Who led the protest isn’t as important as the 55000+ who turned up Farrar, that you are playing this game shows how genuinely frightened you are.
Good.
I like it when David Farrar is frightened. We are all a better people when David is scared.
NZF were just idiotic with Winston claiming he had seen bigger protests in the Springbok Tour, ok Boomer, thanks for the history lesson, off to bed now grandad.
ACt were simply unbelievable.
They had to attend behind a Police line…

…and then cited a far right crypto-fascist to back up their own racism..

…when Matt fucking Walsh is your champion you need to be on an Interpol watch list.
Walsh is the biggest crypto-fascist online, ACT may as well be quoting The Daily Stormer!

Big bad Gerry Brownlee was urged by National and ACT and NZF to punish any future Haka’s which reminded me of that time the late great Moana Jackson punched Gerry so hard in the face it sat him down on his arse when it came to claims of too much ‘Maoriness’, for your delight, watch…
When the late Dr Moana Jackson schooled Gerry the school teacher on his gripe that Māori are misinterpreting &misusing the Treaty..
Obviously Gerry didn’t pay attention & learn anything there, coz this face during Hana’s haka betrayed the fact he’s still racist as fck #nzpol pic.twitter.com/iMw8rcCHVY— PremPrakash🇫🇯🇳🇿 (@kaiwgtn) November 20, 2024
…It’s National ACT NZF who are Dishonouring the Treaty!

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

Tim Murphy from Newsroom has credible evidence that the number of people in the Hikoi was at least 84,000.
I’m sure it’s any number a journalist says.
Lets all get behind this movement and kill this sick racist shit and the government that is enabeling it .Remember the sick prick is to be come deputy PM next year when the river of filth leader steps a side .There may even be a new PM about then as well and that will be another weak prick or even no boats .
The only river of filth was those protesters that gathered in Wellington this week.
right wing bull shit artist ,we are coming for you now
Your white trash filthy language doesn’t wash in this country, make NZ great for all of us and fuck off.
There is a pseudo Henry Filth, and really that should be the only time we see that f word on here. It should be saved for the appropriate place like talking about fatbergs in sewers. So Make Great Again leave NZ out of your mud-throwing word.
We don’t actually come here to gloat and disdain upset citizens but to work out ways to lessen the upsets without disdain building to hate. Hate is corrosive and prevents any happy thoughts getting through to the person underneath. In fact they hurt themselves by hating others, and if they hate themselves, well we would be trying to change conditions that produce that, so help not hinder please.
With a dumb arse name like MNZGA you probably have the white bed sheets out cutting holes for your eyes as I write this. Perhaps you could join those complete f wits from Brian Tamaki’s leather fascination club
Gerry brownlee was a woodwork teacher, have you heard the saying, ‘knock on wood’ well that Gerry’s head it’s like knocking on wood and there is nothing in it and nobody is @ home.

The government’s ban on gang insignia comes into affect from midnight tonight. File photo. Photo: Facebook
…But Black Power life member and community advocate Denis O’Reilly was at the hīkoi mō te Tiriti in Wellington yesterday, and told RNZ he saw several familiar patches with some notable changes.
I noticed some subtle adaptations of gang insignia, including the introduction of manu whenua and tangata whenua, and I think that will give the police some interesting challenge if it comes to a court of law.”
O’Reilly said he expected a “spectrum of response” from those being targeted by the law.
“I think the main form of advice that gang leaders have given to members is that provided by Minister Goldsmith, and that is ‘don’t get caught’, and one would anticipate that if one’s patch was being forcibly taken from one, there would be a fair degree of resistance.
“But in the main, I think people will use subterfuge – they will wear patches inside out, they’ll wear cloaks, they’ll wear all sorts of devices to try and get around the law.”
He said the new law could potentially lead to an “absurd situation”, but he was waiting to see how it would play out.
“Since the Tūhoe raids, there has been a very intensive investment into relationship building at a community level and hopefully that will stay us in good stead.”
Assistant Police Commissioner Paul Basham told Midday Report police had been engaging with gang communities over the past few months, with hundreds of meetings with different interest groups, including gang members.
“And the purpose of that engagement has been to educate about the new legislation, encourage gang members to make good choices on the right side of the law and also project that certainty of enforcement, once that legislation goes
live from midnight tonight.”… (Thursday, 21 November 2024 ?)

‘Expect Resistance’ – Community Group Pushes Back Against More Cops With Guns
Thursday, 21 November 2024, 9:41 pm
Press Release: People Against Prisons Aotearoa
The appointment of Richard Chambers as the New Zealand Police Commissioner has raised alarm-bells from community safety group, People Against Prisons Aotearoa (PAPA).
Chambers has indicated that he is ‘open’ to routinely arming New Zealand Police. PAPA spokesperson, Emmy Rākete, says this would be ‘disastrous’.
‘We don’t want to end up like America. We’ve seen too many stories of black people being killed by routinely armed cops.’
‘More cops with guns will mean more dead Māori kids.’
Currently, New Zealand Police are not routinely armed. While they have access to firearms in their vehicles, they do not regularly have guns attached to the hip.
‘New Zealanders do not want to see cops walking around with guns. American-style policing will lead to American-style gun violence.’…
That was the Hikoi attracting a record crowd but what’s next.Unless there’s follow up nothing changes.
The non Maori remain the majority.
42,000 or 55,000 or 84,000. In NZ that’s a lot of people on the first day of a protest. The Prime Minister needs to educate himself by watching what happened on the last day of the Springbok Tour protests and nip this thing in the bud.
