When the Hikoi was announced, the big bag Pig King Mark Mitchell was very very very clear…
Police Minister warns Toitū te Tiriti protesters cops will take action against lawlessness
As convoys of protesters begin their week of disruption this morning, Police Minister Mark Mitchell has warned his officers “will take action … if there is any sort of law broken”.
…not there was no violence, no illegality, no issues with the Hikoi, yet Bishop Brian Tamaki threatens to hijack the Motorways and threaten physical force against any counter protestors…

…and where was Mark Mitchell’s threat to Bishop Brian Tamaki?
Surely there is a mention of the same threats on the National Party press release site, let’s have a look…

…nothing.
How about the Pig King’s Twitter account?

…nothing.
And what ended up happening?
Police say they will crack down on Brian Tamaki convoy protesters
Police are planning to take enforcement action after protesters walked on Auckland’s motorway network during a convoy led by Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki.
The convoy caused long delays on State Highway 1 as it made its way to the Auckland Domain on Saturday for a ‘Make New Zealand Great Again’ rally.
It was led by about 100 people on motorcycles, with others waving flags from accompanying vehicles.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Naila Hassan said some people entered the motorway network on foot, while others joined them by exiting vehicles.
Peaceful Māori led protest against the most racist legislation in living memory = Police Minister Threats.
Far Right Christian leather fascists threatening violence = not a whisper from Police Minister despite the Far Right Christian leather fascists breaking the law.
The double standards are remarkable aren’t they?
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

Well, it looks simple, the Hikoi is protesting government actions, while Destiny is running a self promotion campaign with (empty it looks now) threats of violence towards people. One of these actions is naturally a threat to Govt while the other is actually in support of certain Govt actions, hence, the behavior of the strong arm of Govt, the Police. But who actually knows! Perhaps Destiny is nothing more than a useful idiot in service to this particular Govt, they do seem ideologically rather similar to each other. On the world stage, this plays out quite well for the Govt because on the one hand, one bunch of brown people has attracted the interests of the law while the other bunch is being allowed to run free. On the world stage, this is balance and fairness. But here, at the very least, this is a shyt look for the police, a really shyt look…the Police, nothing more than a tool of Govt rather than an essential service to society.
Because they are another group of bible bashers who are above the laws of the land just like Luxon AND bROWNS CHURCH .
Scamaki’s leather boys did well…not…the cops were not too pleased at all about walkers on the motorway. Hikoi organisers worked with Police for the harbour bridge crossing, which was manageable due to the lane structure and organisation.
Will Destiny patches get taken? doubt it. An entrepreneur should produce patches for the rest of us…“FREEDOM of Association, Assembly & Speech” with a red fist or koru in the middle of the circle.
Great where can I buy one of those patches
Have messaged my son who works in graphic design industry for options.
A T-shirt would do fine for most, but I still have a couple of cut off denim jackets from V8 days and would like a real patch!
The anti patch thing from National is definitely going to be challenged in higher Courts, and members are not going to just hand them over. I talked to some Kaitaia cops about the patch ban and they just laughed with “good luck with that” look.
Senior cops will be ordered to be hard line in some cases but how many resources are they going to put into a dress code really…they can’t even provide mental health support any more.
I agree with you about the world ending although you will have to give up the drugs if you want to go to the better place.
At least you are unlikely to find Destiny members at the better place so that is a good reason to give up drugs. No guarantees though as nothing is finalized yet.
