What staggering new Roy Morgan Poll shock means for NZ Politics

The horror of the Trump election totally eclipsed the findings of the latest Roy Morgan Poll which shows the Right’s vote collapsing and for the first time since the election, Labour + Greens + Māori Party would take the Government.

National ACT and NZF have all dropped as the country struggles with a triple dip recession, rising unemployment and a never ending crusade by this Government to start a race war.

Our Unemployment continues to rise, it didn’t hit 5% because so many young people have now dropped out of the labour market altogether.

We now have 148000 unemployed and this is the Government’s message to the BottomFeeders

The decision to gut public spending to pay for tax cuts and create tax loop holes for their donor class are causing social carnage amongst the bottom feeders but National only care about those flying first class.

The Trump result highlights just how dangerous pandering to middle class woke identity politics really is for the Left.

‘Cloak the Woke’ is a term I’ve created to help left wing organisations. If you have a toxic radioactive woke activist in your midst, cloak that woke! Hide them so people don’t realise they are part of the organisation.

The Emily Writes syndrome: That moment when you like a social media post without realising it’s a radioactively woke person and you quickly unlike the post within 30 seconds.

We see this already happening with an avalanche of small Wellington consultancies that have great sounding names and all the woke quietly listed deep inside the website so they are not prominent.

If you have a Tiso, an Emily, a Mok, a Nicola, anyone involved with the Disinformation Project, Mau, Stephanie, Emmy or a Chris working for your left wing organisation, you gotta ‘cloak that woke’ so punters don’t fall into the The Emily Writes syndrome.

The holy trinity of intersectionist critical race and gender theory is:

  • ALL white people are irredeemable cross burning racists
  • B-E-L-I-E-V-E ALL Women that ALL Men are rapists
  • Anyone who supports Free Speech is a Uniform wearing Nazi who hates the Trans Community

There is NO wriggle room in that middle class dogma.

From 2016 the woke cancel culture went as wild as Mao’s Cultural Revolution with less nuance.

The woke have damaged the Left enough and made us as electable as a cup of cold sick, pure temple identity politics alienated voters, it doesn’t attract them.

We need Broadchurch class and citizen solidarity. There needs to be less cancel culture and far more taxing billionaires so we can properly fund universal left policies in health, education and our infrastructure.

Not one working class family is sitting around the kitchen table cancelling each other for misusing pronouns, they are sitting around the kitchen table trying to work out how the fuck to pay the bills!

Labour + Greens + Māori Party can win the next election, we will blow it as soon as the woke middle class activists start shitting on men again.

  1. The race war was started by other manipulated fools following the “ divide and rule” mantra well before the current government was formed. If Trumpism helps deconstruct this evil dialectic, good, but New Zealanders have never been noted for their cerebral skills, and will likely continue to be a microcosmic reflection of the breakdown of western civilisation happening right now.

  2. It is polls over time that count more than one–not that there are many polls anymore in NZ. This RM is nice viewing though and maybe the revenge voters who gave us CoC are getting some remorse as reality hits them. Even poorer tories need health care and social services and infrastructure…when I pay for my prescription I always say “thanks National voters” at the counter, two of the staff laugh, and the two Natzo voter staff look sheepish, the Pharmacist has admitted that some people have already stopped picking up their scripts when charges were reinstated.

    An extra problem with unemployment is that it is really hammering the young, giving them another reason to hate boomers who have already locked them out of home ownership while charging extortionate rents for mouldy dumps.

    I still do not think the woke are the main enemy, no, it is the neo liberal orthodoxy of 40 years. Greens and TPM are reasonably onside with taking a different direction, but NZ Labour has to as well.

      I agree with you on the above.

      The individualist mindset has been well ingrained into the under 50 age group.

      On top of that you have people who have immigrated here over the last 40 years from countries where it is stand or fall on your own feet where universalism is an unknown quantity and foreign concept.

      THAT IS THE MINDSET THAT HAS TOO CHANGE.

        Greens do well because of a wider understanding of their brand and principles, despite factional differences.

        TPM are almost ‘radical chic’ at the moment, and they reflect the youth of the Māori population and the Reo Māori generation.

      The under 30s know full well labour and National are two tired parties.

      Labour has a lot of work to do.

    How did people on the left ever think that putting the 1 trans person in 200 in the population front and centre of a movement could be helpful. The idea that the 1 trans male in 400 population should trump the right of the 200 women in 400 population to ‘win’ in women’s sports beggars belief.

    The solution to that was “down on the farm”. The wokesters could probably all do with a couple of years manual labour milking cows or packing something in a factory or labouring on a civil site to get ‘in touch’ with the people.

  5. Sadly, I think Labour can coast along quite happily, without much appetite for soul-searching and self-scrutiny. After all, governments get voted out – oppositions don’t get voted in..

  8. The whole system needs to change .No Tax under 30 k of income .
    Zero unemployment
    People before profit
    No new roads just maintaine the ones we have the ones we have
    Reduce the number of cars ,why do we have 4 million cars and only 2 million drivers ?
    all places to start and fix the want of agriculture to pollute their own water supply .
    I note China has a gut of dairy cows and are now culling thousands so we will not be selling milk big time there for a good few years and have no need to ship cows there on those shitty ships .

  9. I hope next time around they are just a tad better organised and don’t commission a thousand fucking reviews only to find that they’ve run out of time to do anything and achieve approximately jack shit…sadly I suspect history will repeat itself
