Kāinga Ora Rotorua homes: $3m spent already on 64 homes that may not be built
More than $3 million has been spent on 64 Kāinga Ora houses in Rotorua that might not go ahead.
But despite the halting of some projects – including multi-storey developments – the Government’s housing arm says it is confident it will meet social housing delivery expectations.
Kāinga Ora released updated figures to the Rotorua Daily Post this week after the New Zealand Herald revealed on Tuesday the Government had spent nearly $300m nationally on 371 public housing projects at risk of being cancelled.
…while manufacturing a crisis in Public Health by purposely underfunding it.
They have done all this to give their donor class sweetheart deals on regulations and law changes.

Govt to introduce controversial Treaty Principles Bill this Thursday
In its first report following an inquiry in May, the Waitangi Tribunal found the Bill would effectively rewrite the Treaty of Waitangi.
It also said it was a solution to a problem that did not exist and little more than a “politically motivated attack on perceived Māori privilege”.
Cabinet released more details about the proposed principles in September, prompting a second hearing by the Tribunal last month.
The latest report, based on the second hearing, was just as scathing.
“We found that if this Bill were to be enacted, it would be the worst, most comprehensive breach of the Te Tiriti in modern times,” it read.
“If the Bill remained on the statute book for a considerable time or was never repealed, it could mean the end of the Treaty.”
The new report said if the Bill progressed, the damage to the Māori Crown relationship would be profound.
“Underlying the significant change across all statutory regimes that affect Māori, the Bill would end the Treaty partnership and any formal relationship between the Crown and Māori.
“At present, the progressing of the Bill is having serious impacts on the relationship but the Bill if enacted would kill that relationship. This is deliberate.”

I want to know what they are going to do about white collar crime ?.I see in the herald a woman stole 300 k from her boss in one year and has an over night ,7pm till 7am curfew for 5 months .A mother who stole food to feed her kids gets 2 years for total sum of 2k over several months .The difference might be one was white the other brown .

The poor squeezed middle ,who squeezed them selves due to greed ,must be feeling let down because the COC have not elevated them into the top 10% ,instead pushing them closer to being bottom feeders .Its all down hill from here ,why do you think Luxon is selling all his houses ,another on the market ,3 more to go .He knows the economy is going to crash and those houses you all rushed out to buy will drop in value next year .Capitalisim as we know it is on its way out and by 2050 national debt will be 100% of Gdp .The new roads of national importance will be empty because no one will be able to afford to run a car let alone two cars .
