Fears that she wasn’t ready, concerns that she would come across as flakey – all disappeared as she handled hard questions, in real time and managed to really push Trump back time and time and time again.
He was unhinged.
He lied through his teeth, he repeated numerous falsehoods and he couldn’t get any traction during the debate on any issue.
It was the same old grievances and hates and I just think America is tired of the grievances and hate.
American’s love 2 things, self belief and positivity.
Trump has self belief to the point of delusion (and that came across many times during the debate) but Harris had positivity AND self belief.
Harris was cool, calm and prosecuted her case with compassion, intelligence and intellectual rigour.
Sure it was shallow pap, but shallow pap is a billion times better than deranged pap.
Because Harris has done so little media, this debate mattered and she crushed him.
Harris’s Childless Cat Ladies of America smashed Trump’s United States of Wounded Masculinity.
This is American Politics and anything can happen, but Harris passed her first real test of the election with flying colours, the race is still going to be painfully close, but Democrats have much to celebrate.

As expected, the former successful prosecutor and current VP of USA crushed the Felon Diaper Don Dementia Loser in a show that pitted courtroom honed skills against a grifter’s pap of lies. Judging by the output from such groups as the Lincoln Foundation and the Republicans Against Trump, the former POTUS, now convicted felon, is not only losing support among Republicans, but also among his own MAGA supporters. Across all the major and most minor polling agencies, Harris is leading by between 3 and 8 points in all the battleground states and well ahead in the Democrat states from the last election. There is even some polling suggesting that both Texas and Florida might swing Democrat. Many Republican senators and governors are now fearful of being ousted.
In ten years time, many will look back at this strange period of USA history and wonder what possessed almost half of the voting American public to support a Russian stooge/spy. My guess is that examination of documentation will show the infiltration of Russian intelligence into Western media, especially Fox and similar outlets, and social media, convinced and confused Americans about Trump and the Brits about Brexit. I thought it was pretty equal. MAGA will be annoyed Kamala didn’t melt down like Biden did. Conversely Trump also kept his cool, and didn’t say anything beyond his usual scope. Both gave a 6/10 performance imo – the only thing that was surprising is that neither embarrassed themselves.
