This Government is a racist, hard right, beneficiary bashing, disabled abusing, climate denying threat to Positive Egalitarianism – How did the NZ Left allow this to happen?

TDB warned that a National, ACT, NZF Government would produce a romper stomper of racist, hard right, beneficiary bashing, disabled abusing, climate denying policies implementing an anti-Māori, anti-Treaty, anti-worker, anti-renter and anti-environment agenda to promote legislative change that benefits their rich donor class of Big Tobacco, Big Business and the Real Estate Pimps.

I think the last 10 months have proved every word of that prediction right.

After Māori Ward desecration, this Government is a racist hard right beneficiary bashing climate denying disabled abusing threat to Positive Egalitarianism!

The Left lost and alienated so many possible supporters using Pure Temple politics that ‘include’ via ‘exclusion’.

Humourless Woke social media Lynch mobs generated by middle class identity politics activists have driven male voters into the arms of the Right and the cost has been a blitzkrieg of hard right culture war revenge fantasies masquerading as social policy.

The damage this Government are committing to will be intergenerational!

  •  Racist attack on local council Māori wards
  • Cancelling Māori Health Authority
  • Manufacturing public health crisis to justify cut backs.
  • Repealing OT legislation forcing interaction with Iwi so they can green lighting a mass new tsunami of uplifts for Social Investment Bog Data investment.
  • Throwing 50 000 beneficiaries off welfare including the disabled and drug addicts.
  • Promising cancer patients 14 new drugs and only funding half of them for twice the price.
  • Cancelling the Ferry’s only to spend more money for less Ferry!
  • Rigging Charter schools
  • Privatisation agenda in social housing
  • Allowing property developers to create urban sprawl ghettos.
  • Giving Chris Bishop, Simeon Brown and Dr Pork Shane Jones the power of Muldoon on meth with the Fast Track Powers!
  • Taking $3billion from climate change funds.
  • Allowing corporate dairy to avoid paying for their pollution.
  • Pushing 17000 kids into poverty to pay for tax cuts we can’t afford.
  • Dumping 3 waters to allow water rates to spike.
  • Military Boot Camps that don’t work.
  • Gutting public transport.
  • Allowing Newshub to fall over so there is less scrutiny of policy.
  • Allowing the donor calls to dictate policy.
  • Bending over backwards for the Tobacco Industry, Mining Industry and Real Estate Pimps
  • Allowing bosses to sack workers and Landlords to kick out renters
  • Getting NZ into Americas latest military adventure in the Red Sea
  • Tough on crime posturing that creates counter productive outcomes
  • Massive cuts to public spending that will become austerity next year.
  • Cutting services for the disabled and moving them to the cruel MSD.

Luxon is so weak he is allowing the radical fringes of his Government to run amok.

Luxon is so weak he had to sack Melissa Lee to look butch.

Luxon is so weak there are times where Seymour and Winston are tag teaming each other to humiliate him.

This poisonous policy platform is a mutation of who we are as a people and the NZ Left are partly responsible for this!

We didn’t do nearly enough to counter the cost of living crisis, or food security, or state housing, or poverty! We were great at cancelling people for misusing pronouns or not pronouncing Māori perfectly, shit at challenging the neoliberal economic hegemony.

This Government is an affront to the Positive Egalitarianism that New Zealand stands for.

This is cruelty and spite mixed with malice.

This is the jackboot of the state on the throats of the weakest.

Why are we beating up on beneficiaries more than we are beating up on Banks, Supermarkets, Big Oil, Big Tobacco and Big Polluters???

The jackboot of the State should always be on the throats of the most powerful so that their interests don’t warp our Democracy, the jackboot of the State SHOULD NOT be used on its citizens!

Why bash on the weakest, poorest members of society while enriching the wealthiest?

An evangelical right wing Christian who owns 7 properties taking from the poorest amongst us while taking huge privileges from the tax payer himself.

He has the fucking audacity to claim this…

…Here’s the National Party Welfare Policy in two frames…

We need to be far kinder to individuals and far fucking crueller to Corporations and we need a Left wing that can actually champion Economic Justice over the minefield of Social Justice because if we can’t, this toxic Government will remain!

If Beneficiaries were cigarettes, National would have found a way to protect them, are we proud of what we have allowed post-Covid bitterness towards Jacinda for having the temerity of saving 20 000 lives?

Are we?

  1. Time to ask yourselves “why did people vote for ACT?”

Be honest with yourself, because it is likely you are to blame. What will you do differently next time?

  2. Act vote actually dropped from earlier polling in the end, and NZ First only just got over the line. Baldrick is such a political numpty that Winston and Incel Dave were able to push him around to their satisfaction regardless.

Blaming “wokeism” is overestimated, the voter turnout was lower in traditional working class areas–so NZ Labour must take substantial liability for two things: A) not going hard in 2020 when they had an absolute majority, and B) not instituting Wealth Tax and Capital Gains Tax on property as policy for the 2023 Election

A united position on Wealth and CGT between TPM, Greens and Labour would highly likely have got them a win regardless of COVID revenge voters.

  3. ‘What will you do differently next time?’
It is refreshing to see that Erik realises this is only a one term government.

However it is relevant to ask why voters rejected a timid Labour party that abandons its principles in favour of a toxic coalition that actively promotes inequality.
One answer is that thoughout our history voters punish existing governments, rather than support their successors. They do not seem to use logic. It is enough that the other parties are different to the existing government.
Another answer is non-voting. In each election the proportion of people who actually make use of their vote reduces. They are disillusioned and confused so they simply abstain. This does hurt Labour and Greens most.
‘it is likely you are to blame’, that is true of Labour in particular who are no longer socialists.

‘Why did people vote for ACT?’
W.B.Yeats said it. ‘The best lack all conviction while the worst are full of a passionate intensity.’

  4. Your last comment sums up why they lost and why they will stay in opposition if they do not look at themselves.
In all the circles I move the way Labour dealt with the original covid outbreak was the one good think in the time in office .
It was dealing with the after period that let them down. Thus in turn lead to voters being unhappy which Jacinda could not take so she quit leaving Labour with a poor leader and no direction.Law and order ,I flationand racial problems lead to their defeat. Hipkins still seems to be at a lose to understand they lost and to date there is no direction coming from him or his cabinet.

  5. The people that voted Act, including the rest of the coalition, are simply NZ’s version of the US MAGA supporters. They voted Act because they are uneducated racist bone heads.

  6. Sorry, but you got the Government you deserve, but feel free to carry on blaming everyone but yourselves. Only you can fix it, but not by carrying on your culture of hate, anger, whining, while doing nothing positive, that way just leads to more failures. Wake the f up
