And yes, caveat: Women can snowblow walkways, and women can map driving routes. But people are not fanboying and fangirling over Walz as a warm and loving person. They are praising him as, specifically, a man. A man who served in the National Guard, who identified as a proud hunter, who once strongly supported the NRA and who coached a high school football team all the way to the state championships.

I listened to his interview and I saw the sound bites and analysis from a lot of the MSM organisations.
And they don’t really represent what he said at all, which considering that he could be the next POTUS and he spoke a lot about foreign affairs, the border etc I would have thought them reporting what he actually said would have been a service to the voting public of the USA.
You may hate him and that’s your right, but as I say if is in the running for arguably the most powerful position in the world, I’d quite like to hear what he has to say.
Good for you. I’ve heard enough of Trump to suggest he is not the person to be the next POTUS. All the evidence is in the history. He has multiple court cases pending, he is a convicted felon, he was responsible for the carnage of the Capitol Hill deaths. Now you may like to hear what he says but when I heard his interview about being famous and being able to grab them by the pussy, the speech about fighting like hell, his speech about the election being “stolen”, well it was then my morals kicked in. Your morals seem a little lower and that’s fine, but don’t for one minute confuse who and what you listen too being any better than what others listen too and putting labels on other forms of media, that is where you fall down.

I note that Walz appears not to have been fulsome in the past with the full story of his National Guard service and in particular the circumstances under which he ended it, but it has to be remembered that criticism of his service by Vance, supported by other Republicans, is coming from a man whose own service was predominantly in public affairs issuing press releases.

She’s actively avoiding doing any interviews and relies on set-piece speeches with teleprompter to assist her. Her own website contains no policy statements, and her speeches vary dramatically according to the audience. At various times in the last 4 years, she’s been both in favour and not in favour of border controls, defunding the police and fossil fuels. She talks in word salads when her handlers aren’t there to prompt her and claims to be either black or Indian depending on who she’s talking to. She puts on various blatantly fake accents for black people and southerners which make my skin crawl. A political chameleon.

Both iPredict (which is mostly domestic betters) and Polymarket (which is more international) have Kamala ahead right now. Betting markets are in theory apolitical since they are just people wanting to make money, so give the best current pulse on where things are heading. That said, Kamala has yet to give am unscripted presser with hostile journalists (Trump thrives on them), let alone a debate. I’m guessing the road to glory for the Democrats will be to keep Kamala firmly on script and attempt to minimise her inexplicable laughter as a response to serious questions.
