Why are we bombing the poorest country in the middle east again?

Well that escalated quickly…

Middle East crisis: Yemen’s Houthis will not abide by any rules of engagement in continued attacks on Israel, group says – as it happened

Houthi military spokesperson says there will be ‘no red lines’ in response to Israel after airstrikes hit Hodeidah on Saturday, killing at least six people

…remember, this disproportionate response is because a drone killed one Israeli.

Bombing a petrol storage Port is proportionate is it?

The Houthis have a hypersonic missile and seeing as they were attacking shipping in the Red Sea BECAUSE of Israel’s ethnic cleansing war crime, I’m not sure causing this level of destruction helps de-escalate the situation here.

So did we help the IDF do this and why the Christ are we bombing the poorest people in the Middle East again?

REMEMBER: Most military analysts are telling us that bombing the Houthi is totally counter productive and will only empower them!

REMEMBER: The only reason the Houthi have expanded this attack on shipping lanes is because Israel is committing a real time ethnic cleansing war crime!

REMEMBER: NZDF personnel are target selecting for these attacks, so our finger IS on the trigger, we are enabling the strikes, we can’t pretend we are not directly responsible for any collateral damage.

Uncle Winston and Aunty Crusher have sold our Independent Foreign Policy for 3 American magic beans.

Those magic beans glow in the dark.

That sound you can hear is Winston and Judith digging up Lange’s corpse and taking selfies as they whistle the Star Bangles Stripes to him!

The Trump/Vance agenda wants to remove military industrial spending in Europe against NATO and redeploy them in the Pacific against China.

Their 10% tariff, Project 2025, plans to militarise Immigration Police to enable mass deportation camps alongside all the moderate bits from the Handmaid’s Tale might be receiving all the attention at the moment, but it’s their focus to confront China that should be concerning the rest of us.

The Nuclear Submarines being deployed by AUKUS will serve as first strike platforms that the Chinese hawks will see as a closing window of military options they can take now.

It hasn’t been widely reported here, but Luxon’s extraordinary statement against China at NATO will immediately change things here…

Luxon’s ‘radical change in NZ’s foreign policy’ criticised by Helen Clark and Don Brash

Former Prime Minister Helen Clark and her old political rival Don Brash have teamed up to criticise Christopher Luxon, accusing him of making a surprise “radical change in NZ’s foreign policy” that could upset our biggest trading partner, China.

While in the US recently, the prime minister gave an interview to The Financial Times in which he said New Zealand would “increasingly disclose cases of Chinese espionage”.

He also said New Zealand was now “very open” to participating in AUKUS Pillar 2, a defence partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom and United States; and talked about the New Zealand Defence Force being a “force multiplier for Australia and the US and other partners”.

… here are my thoughts on what happens now.

The Grey Zone war where China enables organised crime to flood the Pacific with cheap meth will accelerate alongside Chinese fishing militia encroachments and using their vast diaspora throughout the Pacific to begin protesting.

I think China will see NZ as the weakest member of the 5 Eyes and to show Trump they mean business, China will use its economic might to strangle our economy off as a symbolic hit job believing only muscular moves like that impress Trump.

Our products will suddenly get stopped at ports and we will get smashed economically from the fallout.

If China see a genuine threat in the Trump/Vance agenda they will want to ratchet up their Grey Zone warfare and use NZ as a symbolic 5 Eyes punching bag and will use Luxon’s words as the justification.

I hope Luxon knows what he’s doing, because he could have royally screwed the country with his comments.

Who had ‘Get into an American War in the first 100 days’ on their New Government Bingo card?

Because Luxon is so feckless and weak, the Hawks are selling our mana and honour to the Military Industrial Complex!

I do not want NZ controlled by China AND I do not want it controlled by America either!

  1. Well, I thought this was about the Houthis ….silly me. We ARE controlled by the US, this is why we both support genocide and fight against those trying to stop this genocide. We are controlled by the US, which very soon will mean Mr Rumpy becomes our new, under-the-table boss. To be fair to us, the entire West is controlled by the US to varying degree. As a member of the five-eye snooping alliance, the level of control the US exerts over us is greater than many western nations. Sovereignty, like democracy, its all an illusion and will remain so for as long as the West is under the thumb of the donor-led US empire.

Who knows whether China will be just the same as the US, but for now, all we in the West are doing is projecting how we act, how we have always operated – onto them.

    • We aren’t controlled by Americans. Hell, America isn’t controlled by Americans. Luxon, and Biden alike, are acting to support the genocidal zionist terrorist group that calls itself a ‘state’.

      • Nope, we are, as is the entire West. Israeli money is but one donor controlling US politics but I will argue that it is hardly the major one. Nonetheless, if you think that NZ is somehow independent, then how come we also support Ukraine in the Ukraine v Russia war and we are increasingly becoming hostile towards China also. And on top of this, the rest of the West are acting the same. What gives, what is the common denominator here, and no it can’t be Israeli money because these trends have been ongoing since long before the Israeli genocidal state ripped its mask off to the world…

    • America is controlled by the deep state not really the president.

It will be interesting to see how quickly after Trump gets in he will pull the plug on money to Ukraine, he has never been a big war monger, yes I know he is a nut, but then really they are both so appalling, and never started a war last time he was in power. Of course Israel is a different matter altogether and he will go on no doubt propping the country up with endless money and arms.

      • People forget that Trump gave Ukraine weapons that even Obama before him refused to give them. The illusion that is Trump will bombard us with words but his actions will tell a different story. Nonetheless, the Ukraine tragedy is a lost cause anyway and has been ever since their failed summer offensive so he has an easy out of he wants one.

Bottom line is that he’s just a puppet like all the rest of them. He did increase the defense budget the last time in office so despite his bluster, he’s as much of a war monger as all the rest of them. Lord only knows if he he can beat the record shattering tax cuts he gave to his ilk, last time around, as well.

The deep state, nothing more than a bunch of people hand-picked by the donor-class in order to prioritize their measures, and or, help ensure that the Pollies are all dancing to their tune. Their grip on Trump may not be as ironclad as they prefer but they know he’s a faithful, albeit blusterous servant nonetheless. Oh, the joy.

  2. Because Winston and Luxon are handpuppets of genocidal zionists.

Is it just the money, or have they been getting up to Epstein type antics they’ve been getting up to at the Israel ambassador’s house?

  3. The strikes against the Houthis are because they are attacking international shipping as it heads towards or away from the Suez Canal which in return is impacting on supply lines / the global economy / the environment.

“The Houthis says they consider any Israel-linked ship as a target,[47][48][49] including US and UK warships, but they have also indiscriminately attacked the ships of many nations.[50][51] From October 2023 to March 2024, the Houthis attacked more than 60 vessels in the Red Sea.[52] To avoid attack, hundreds of commercial vessels have been rerouted to sail around South Africa.”

    • Yes, the Houthis are trying to stop shipping to the genocidal state of Israel. No, they are not attacking shipping over all. Yes, New Zealand supports genocide and yes again, NZ supports attacking those that are trying to stop genocide. This horrific situation is crystal bloody clear – either we are against genocide or we support it!

  4. Luxon is a corporate schill with absolutely no idea about the new emerging multipolar world order. He hasn’t any concept that there may be alternatives to his world view shaped as a lenocrat parasite pretending to be a businessman.

Unfortunately Luxon is a mirror of our entire status quo with regard to their international outlook. China will know this as will the US. If we break with either one or other have it in their power to wreck us economically.
Our only sensible stance is to steer an independent course and be friends and trading partners to all. We may have to trust our future to association with non aligned states who are in the same boat.

    • A foot in both camps means neither side trust you so will not help .Better to choose a side and stick with it and try to get along with the other side.

  5. Try punching an armed Police Officer & see if they merely turn the other cheek. Actions have consequences.

  6. The bigger picture is that the Houthi rebels were enabled by Iran as a flanking move against Iran’s enemy, Saudi Arabia. They now take pot shots at civilian shipping heading toward the Suez Canal, driving up the cost of shipping by forcing traffic around the Cape, increasing insurance costs and they kill crews.

One of the countries affected by this terrorism is New Zealand because we ship goods to Europe through Suez.

So yes. let’s bomb the Houthis into the dust.

    • Nope. They are just a country that knows – more than any other country in recent times – what it is like to be in Palestine’s position, thus they act accordingly and help out Palestine the best they can. Everything else is just bull crap…other than the fact that our government supports genocide and that they have no shortage of locals who are right behind them.

      • Mohammed this sort of comment is really unhelpful. I have no idea why you make comments about pedophiles which I think most people see as shit. It doesn’t really seem relevant to the topic under discussion.
