Govt drops the name ‘fast-track’
As the Fast-Track Approvals Bill continues to court critics, the controversial Bill appeared in the coalition Government’s third quarter action plan under a new name.
The plan referred to “the Government’s one-stop shop consenting and permitting scheme” instead of calling the fast-track by name. This change mirrors the original language of the New Zealand First coalition agreement, which galvanised the project.
The Government has changed the ‘fast track’ name and hope you are too dumb to notice.
There is no way Shane or NZF are going to hand over the Ministerial over ride power because it is that power their Donor mates want.
Eliminating environmental, Māori and local views isn’t enough! It has to eliminate environmental, Māori, local views AND be open to total gerrymandering influence by Jones.
The self interest in all of this is naked and blinding.
This Government manipulated your post Covid bitterness and has ushered in a crony capitalism that is corrosive.

So who are the cronies?
Clearly there are a lot of dumb kiwis out there ,thats how come we have these arseholes in charge of the china shop
Dumb and stupid our rates are climbing. Aucklanders will get 11% of the fuel tax and soon have to pay congestion charges, tolls and higher car registration. Aucklanders voted in big numbers for the clowns ruining our country them and the other mugs deserve everthing they get, but we all have to suffer from their poor choices.
This government might have some faults but tardiness isn’t one of them. Their Donation Masters told them what was wanted and the government is straight onto it.
Meanwhile it has only taken Labour 6 months to announce that they probably lost votes in Auckland because of the 2nd covid shutdown. This was announced by the co-architect of Aucklands imprisonment, who is still the leader. Good luck in regaining the trust.
How is “one-stop shop” supposed to sound better than “fast track”?
They might as well go straight to calling it the “no oversight” bill.
