I don’t care Genter lost her temper, I care about actual issues like Winston defaming Australian MPs, Steven Joyce under investigation and signing away our Independent Foreign Policy

I stand with Julie Anne Genter shouting at dickheads.

I don’t give a shit that Genter lost her temper in Parliament at Doocey for lying.

Doocey was being a dishonest dick, Genter fired up and yelled at him.

A woman yelling at you isn’t intimidating.

It can be funny, boring or righteous, not intimidating.

Only snowflake bitches claim a woman yelling at them is intimidation.

Don’t be a snowflake bitch.

What I do care about is Winston defaming an Australian MP and opening us up to damages (PS – relying on an old Australian Newspaper column to justify Winston’s claims of Carr better not be his defence).

I care about the 27 000 submissions against the insane Fast Track Powers.

I care about Steven Joyce under investigation.

I care about signing away our Independent Foreign Policy to the American Military Industrial Complex.

I care about pushing 13000 kids into poverty to find a $2.9billion tax break for the richest!

I don’t care Genter lost her temper, hiding behind that while so many far more egregious issues are occurring is wilful ignorance.

I like Genter, girlfriend rode a bike to hospital to give birth FFS!

She’s as hard as nails and twice as rusty.

She needs to go harder, the planet is burning and she’s on the side of the angels!

I stand with Julie Anne Genter shouting at dickheads.

    • Yes…and i’ve met Doocey over an issue in his, and my mother’s electorate of Waimakariri over an issue regarding one of the countries largest housing developers and Christchurch City Council.

He was bland, flippant and vacuous.
Despite obvious serious failings on behalf of the house building company and Ch.Ch. City Council he chose to side with them stating that he knew the developer personally and “all he was trying to do was make a buck.”

In the end i took the case to MBIE determinations.. who turned out to be just as corrupt as well.
      Long story short..

Ch.Ch.City Council were corrupt as well and teamed up with MBIE and the developer to try and shut the
case down so took it to The Ombudsman.
A year long investigation resulted in Ch Ch City Council being severley reprimanded and forced to pay out a big compensation along with the developer, (Doocey’s mate), who were also forced to rectify the situation.

Doocey was not interested in a littke old kady being stitched up and ripped off .He was more interested in taking the side of his mates.

Having dealt with his blandness and lack of inertia i can feel and understand Genter’s frustration!

then took it to the Ombudsman
who took the case very seriously

  1. Genter is one of the best qualified contemporary politicians, although that’s not saying much. The hysterical press overreaction to what happened to that wee Nat chap, with a florist in Newtown promptly jumping on the carnival ride, deflects attention from the real issues. Still, IMO Paula Bennett did well out of systemic bullying, so all is not lost, unless, of course Genter, unlike Bennett, Richardson and Shipley, has a heart and a soul.

The other thing is that Genter, like so many good people, may well have been catapulted into shock by the surreal appointment of Bennett to Pharmac and been functioning under par.

    • Well said Snow White.
You could have added that she got angry at the continued bullshit from the other side spread under the guise of parliamentary privilege.
Why aren’t the Media shitting on Doocey for lying about a report he hadn’t even read. Surely that should go to the privilege committee for misleading parliament.

      • The florist in Newtown said JAG’s apology to Parliament was insincere yet she would accept an apology from the same person for the florist taking perceived offence at JAG’s demeanour in her shop.
An apology is an apology, Lady Florist!

        • Lady Florist has a very nasty reputation. This is a cry wolf situation. Another right wing voting business woman has come out with a claim about Genter also.
This very much sounds like a set up now and we know how very good at the dark arts the right are.

          • Thanks for your information, I got the same impression when I heard the complaints & it all seems so convenient coming so soon after a disastrous poll result for the CoC. The MSM has the integrity of a used nappy & reporting like this just confirms their bad image.

          • No one wants to anyone treated rudely, but the fact is that most days, if not every day, politicians behave obnoxiously in Parliament, dress like hooligans, spud diggers, and sunbathers, and behave in the sort of way that makes schoolteachers’ lives difficult. The juvenile smart alecs and side-show head nodders impress nobody but themselves, and we pay them to do it. Not good enough.

Of course Genter shouldn’t have left her seat, but dealing with dimwits and liars on such a regular basis must be enormously frustrating, especially when having to dumb down to what may be the biggest collection of freaks in any Wellington workplace, some of whom may be slightly mad.

  2. Pity those in leadership positions don’t realize an MP getting in the face of the enemy is a good thing.
She has more balls than the current green male team.
First tradie, green, talking head who connects with the working classes wins.

  3. I imaging the reporting would be far harsher if the intimidating had been done on a Green MP by a National member. Most of the Green factory come across as unpleasant people full of self importance.

    • Cry me a river Trevor, all of the National factory come across as unpleasant people full of self importance. Take the blue blindfold off, Genter is being dragged through the media and the right wing supporters are like maggots on a dead carcass as your comment shows.

    • Imagine if Doocey was competent minister and read the report.( which was the reason for Genter’s response) None of this would have taken place.
Imagine if National weren’t fast tracking legislation and not putting things through select committee denying a democratic process.
I’d imagine none of this would have taken place but alas no, National are corrupt.

  4. It’s not a good thing to approach someone’s space like Julia Anne Genter did. I like her also, but this approach should not be admired. Someone else might take it further.

  5. I was disappointed when Genter did not succeed Russell Norman.
She has a very sharp intellect.

    Doocey earned what she delivered.

  6. I agree this awful government is vindictive, arrogant and strangers to the truth. Brownlee lets this happen on a daily basis.

  7. July Ann lost control and no matter that her anger is righteous you can’t go about screaming in people’s faces, in shops, in parliament, at home. Fuck that she needs help or needs to reign it in.

    • John Key did it in Parliament, shrieking like a Billingsgate fishwife for Labour to “ get some guts” and send other people’s offspring off to fight in other people’s wars, so much so that McIndoe sitting behind him looked utterly petrified, and Bill English seated alongside kept his head down fiddling in his lap. Nat wimps scared of a passionate Green woman need to grow some gonads. The lady was barely audible, wouldn’t even qualify as a school bus driver.

  8. Greens got a prob with their BIPOC hires.
    Metiria
    Kerekere
    Goldriz
    Davidson
    Tana
Genter….all duds. I liked Jeanette, Rod, Bradford and Kevin

    • I would not say Genter is a dud (sure she should not get in someone’s face). Martyn pointed out that Doocey was lying. Why is that acceptable? In fact I have no issue with MPs being paid well but they need a system where blatant lies, that are proven, should result in financial penalties. Try something and it doesn’t work fine, but lying should not be “ oh they are politicians what do you expect”. Let’s face it everyone knows Costello was lying. That gets turned into “how dare someone in the public service point that out”.

    • National got a prob with their BIPOC hires also.
      Jami-Lee Ross
      Judith Collins
      Hamish Walker
      Jake Bezzant
      Nick Smith
      Jian Yang
      Sam Uffindell
      John Key
      Gerry Brownlee
      Tau Henare
      Chris Luxon….all duds

I liked Shane Reti but he sold his sole for power.

      • I see what you did there.
Kuriger also – Emails show personal attacks on ministry.

Maureen Pugh – infamous climate ignoramus

  9. The media hacks are trying very hard to find people that JAG has upset over the years. No doubt 2 right wing hacks have already told their story about a very light arm squeeze. Didn’t JAG win her seat in Rongotai so she can’t be too bad.

  10. “I stand with Julie Anne Genter shouting at dickheads.”

It seems the Greens leadership don’t

  11. Shame she didn’t hit him – a bitchslap is exactly what this clown convention deserves.

  12. Go lady go as hard as you like .These fuckers need a good slapping the parasites .
Next time give the bald skin head gang leader a serve ,but that might be a bit hard as he is never in the house ,too busy counting his ever increasing rent income and how much of a tax refund he will get

  13. Dooce was intimidated! She didn’t punch him, slap him, threaten him with a kitchen knife or pair of scissors, she waved a report at him.

It was the content of the report that was intimidating.

  14. The Greens are starting to look toxic. It probably won’t matter for their ideologues, but others will right them off.

  15. Who hasn’t lost their rag when faced with a bullshitter once in a while?
It is just how they work, they needle ya, until ya lose your rag, with the goal of getting ya in trouble. Cloe is right to bring in help to protect her MP’s from psychopathic manipulations by government ministers and associated hangers on.

    • There is the issue of an objective standard though, right?
I assume you’re not OK with ACT MP’s doing this to Labour/Greens?
Agree that loss of temper once in a while is not a huge deal in itself.

  16. I don’t think losing your rag in a debating chamber once in a while should be a firing, but lets see everyone here commit to that idea in advance if a male ACT MP walks over and shouts and waves things in a female Labour MP’s face, aye?
We can’t have this BS of “it’s OK if a woman/Maori/Green/etc does it but not if it’s a white male right winger”.

And yes, the whole preachy “You have to Be Kind like Jacinda” thing is relevant here.

PS Don’t be an idiot and as an MP go into someone’s house or shop to pick a fight with them. A public place like that photographer is fine though, those other complaints are bollocks.

  17. Yeah I agree those other complaints are bollocks…there is a pile on Genter now. We saw that happen with Kiri Allen. How does the table keg basher get away with it? Double standards. Clear double standards.
