MEDIAWATCH: Owen Jones and the argument Israel has crossed from Ethnic Cleansing to Genocide

Left wing columnist Owen Jones makes the devastating case that what Israel is now doing in Gaza has crossed the threshold from an ethnic cleansing war crime and actually into genocide is deeply concerning in the wake of Netanyahu’s extraordinary call for “voluntary migration”…

Israeli MK: Countries in South America, Africa Offered to Accept Refugees From Gaza, in Exchange for Payment

In an interview, MK Dani Danon spoke of ‘voluntary migration’ of Palestinians set on leaving Gaza, saying this happens ‘in every war.’ Netanyahu said Monday that the problem is not letting them leave, it’s finding countries willing to accept them

…there can be no pretence at what a “voluntary migration” amounts to here. The IDF will make life so excruciatingly impossible to live that they drive the Gazans from their homes in a permanent displacement and occupation.

That we have this masquerade of humanitarian language when the reality is the naked sparkling evil of ethnic cleansing leading to actual genocide is impossible to ignore any longer.

The intent here is a malevolence that will unleash a horror that can tip the rest of the region into a terrible spasm of uber violence that will shame every human being.

2024 will be the year of war.

  1. Ethnic cleansing as ‘humanitarianism’: Benjamin Netanyahu announces his endgame in Gaza: the “voluntary migration” of Palestinians forced to choose between leaving or dying by bombardment and starvation. His goal is to end the Palestinians as a people.

  2. And straight out of the gate running second is the Israeli apologist gaby, any comment on Israel returning Palestinian bodies missing organs?
The Chutzpah of the IDF designating money exchanges in the West bank as terrorist organizations so they can steal 2.3 million to finance the murder of Palestinians is beyond sickening.
I’m grateful to the IDF “the most moral army in the world” for reinforcing my long held view it is nothing but a terrorist state. The IDF is a sick joke with poorly trained “Soldiers” over 500 dead IDF since October the 7th whoever heard of a 20 year old IDF “Sergent” the Arab world is watching, best to make peace with the Palestinians and return what was stolen before the state of Israel ceases to exist.

    • The IDF had to release the number of wounded to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, recently. They put the number of wounded at about 1500. That was just wounded, they did not release the number of dead, and the number of actual wounded is being under reported, as Haaretz found that the number of hospital admissions was considerably higher. These numbers do not reflect any casualties that occurred on Oct 7th. So yes, poorly trained indeed. Actually it sounds like they are getting their arses kicked in Gaza.

  3. Check out the video on the Grayzone “What is wrong with Israelis?”. Stomach-churning stuff and the Gaby’s and Nathan’s of this world have no answer worth listening too.

  4. It’s hard to comprehend why anyone would want to live in Gaza anyway. Imagine living for all those years under Hamas rule. Suppose for a moment that you live in this enormous outdoor prison with demonic Israelis just over the border preventing you from realising a good, productive life, while at the same time your rulers are stealing most of the funds allocated to you for your betterment while they live the life of luxury in another country. And rather than being relocated overseas you would much prefer to stay local and rub shoulders with your fellow Palestinians and arabs. Trouble is they don’t seem to like you very much. In fact they seems to prefer the fact that you’re being killed at an escalating rate. Rather than laying down arms and saying they got this one wrong, Hamas believe they have no responsibility for you. You’re the UNs problem – even though if you’re a Hamas fighter and your family are somewhere down south, you’d be choosing death if you dared to desert your post. This is why many are choosing surrender. Those who have not bought wholesale into the ‘death cult’ scenario will live to maybe enjoy life another day without being under oppressive rule. I think even Owen is deep down happy to see many thousands of Palestinian deaths. It suits his anti-Israeli narrative. He’s viewed the massacre footage at a private viewing but it doesn’t seem to have moved him deep down. How could it – he’s built an impenetrable wall of denial about himself that not even he can escape from.

    • What’s your wall absolving yourself of standing with this Steve ??? ,,, where Israel starves the kids before killing them .
Journal of 11-year-old found under rubble in Gaza after deadly IDF strike ,,, https://www.bitchute.com/video/4h5PO3lA7a6f/

Or this Steve ,,, when Zionists express their view, that every baby in Gaza is an enemy https://youtu.be/AHpTnY8uoCM?t=896

You must have a very large wall steve ,,, with deaf ears with blind eyes ,,, to ignore this Steve , ‘Israel executes Gaza’s elders’ https://electronicintifada.net/blogs/ali-abunimah/israel-executes-gazas-elders

You’ve had a bit to say about Owen Jones ,,, but could you explain yourself ,,, do you ignore the above ,,, deny the above ,,

,,,, or support the above, because Israel Uber Alles.

      • Like I said B A, if the millions and millions and millions had been used to build infrastructure to enhance the lives of the Palestinians in Gaza instead of using it to build tunnels and dungeons (the sort of things only children dream of), and the fighters had kept their cocks in their pants, they wouldn’t be where they are today. The journal of the 11 year old bring nothing but sadness to me but could be equally applied to any number of innocent Israeli children who not only died on Oct 7 but were forced to watch their parents being raped and killed before they were brutally murdered (or kidnapped) themselves. My wall has windows through which I can see both sides. It appears yours only allows a one way view.

        • You live with wall to wall Israel propaganda Steve …..

An example (using two surviving Israelis from Oct 7th ) that shows how the Israel lies/propaganda got traction ,,,,, ‘Israeli general killed Israelis on 7 October then lied about it’ https://youtu.be/aBxDp15fOuE …. https://electronicintifada.net/content/israeli-general-killed-israelis-7-october-then-lied-about-it/43176

and biased one-eyed Israel supporters like you are still flogging the rotten dead horse of outrageous Israel fabrications ,,, and in your case using it to justify the slaughter of innocents ,,,, although you say it makes you sad.

Israel rapes the truth and Steve certainly has his cock out to join in that … I wont delve into Steves other tripe he’s posted but suffice to say he is a bullshitter making excuses for the mass slaughter of children…..
          Another rotten zionist dick …..

          *************************************************

Israel is killing children at a historic rate, is killing an unprecedented number of journalists, and is starving half a million civilians while raining military explosives on a giant concentration camp. No part of this is complicated. No part of this is two-sided.

On Tuesday Israel killed a Palestinian baby girl who was born during the IDF bombing campaign on Gaza. They’ve been killing children so aggressively for so long now that they’re starting to kill children who were born after the child-killing began.

Seventeen days. Al-Amira Aisha got seventeen days on this planet before being crushed to death by an Israeli airstrike on her home in Rafah, alongside her two year-old brother Ahmed and 25 others who’d been living in the same apartment building. She never knew a day of peace.

At This Point We Have To Always Assume Israel Is Lying Until Proven Otherwise https://www.caitlinjohnst.one/p/at-this-point-we-have-to-always-assume

  5. Palestine is suffering but all may not be going well for Israel
“The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement Monday that five brigades would be pulling out of Gaza in the coming weeks for training and rest, while fierce fighting continued in areas of Gaza”. (News report 1 Jan 2024).
Apart from “training and rest” Israel is also saying that the reservists are being withdrawn because “The war has taken a toll on the economy, preventing reservists from going to work, running their businesses or returning to university”.
The talk is designed to give the impression that it is business as usual for the IDF. However the withdrawal is not in line with the IDF’s normal strategy of using overwhelming force to secure a quick and stunning military victory. The “long war” has been the political reality for the Israeli state since 1945, but its military, the IDF, has worked on the exact opposite principle and has usually succeeded.
    Why is it different now?
The argument that the withdrawal is for “economic reasons” does not stack up. The Israeli economy is strong, and the US underwrites it. In any case, a war economy always takes precedence over a peace economy, and Israel’s mobilization would have been carefully designed to allow the war economy to function.
More credence can be given to the “training and rest” explanation, but with a caveat. Commanders do not withdraw troops from the thick of battle for training unless those troops are failing to perform, and they do not withdraw troops for rest unless the troops are at the point of exhaustion or suffering a serious loss of morale. The morale of Israeli troops, especially the reservists, will be tested in two ways. First, by the losses they may be sustaining, and second, and more significantly, by the crimes that they are being ordered to commit. Not all Israelis are cut from the same cloth as the current leadership under Benjamin Netanyahu. As Jewish people they will not find it easy to be a party to genocide, and that will particularly apply to the withdrawn reserve forces.
So it would appear that despite the great destruction Israel has wreaked on Gaza, it has a problem with its troops and with the progress of the war. It is now looking to a long and indecisive war to which it will only commit a moderate proportion of its hardest and most experienced military units. Up till now Israel has always enjoyed the luxury of being able to manage a long term political conflict through the application of short sharp and conclusive military operations against its Arab enemies. The IDF seems to be admitting that it no longer has the capacity to carry out such decisive military operations against Hamas.
Which brings us to the latest terrorist atrocity committed against mourners during commemorations of the death of the Iranian hero Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated four years ago on the orders of US President Donald Trump, undoubtedly with approval from the State of Israel. Accusations have been leveled against the United States, Israel and ISIS, which has allegedly claimed responsibility through twin suicide attacks. The supposed ISIS claim of a suicide bombing (a standard ISIS tactic) conflicts with reports that the explosions were remote controlled (a technique previously employed by Israeli agents to carry out assassinations in Iran). Irrational motives for the atrocity could include such things as revenge for the Iranian execution of four Mossad agents a few days earlier, or an abiding resentment towards Soleimani and his sympathizers from ISIS or the US. However Israel is the only party which had a rational motive for carrying out the Kerman massacre. That would be to provoke Iran into a strike which would then bring the US fully into Israel’s current war. The direct military intervention of the US would only be necessary if Israel was on the backfoot in the Gaza fighting, as it may be, but the consequences of US and Iranian involvement would be anything from a wider regional war up to a nuclear Armageddon. The world, and New Zealand, needs to pause and take a deep breath before embarking on such a course.
