US Muslims pledge to ditch Biden in 2024 over his stance on Israel-Gaza war
Muslims in key states launch #AbandonBiden campaign over US president’s refusal to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Muslim American leaders in several pivotal states pledged on Saturday to rally their communities against President Joe Biden’s bid for re-election due to his steadfast backing of Israel’s war in Gaza.

The #AbandonBiden campaign began when Minnesota Muslim Americans demanded Biden call for a ceasefire by October 31, and has spread to Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Florida.

By voting against the UN demand for an immediate ceasefire…

International rights groups say US ‘risks complicity in war crimes’, has ‘callous disregard for civilian suffering’.

…America is now enabling Israeli war crimes, mass punishment and ethnic cleansing.

To be fair, America has always enabled the brutal occupation of the Palestinian people with their $3billion in military aid each year, but refusing a ceasefire puts the mountain of Palestinian dead on America’s head.

The political backlash to Biden’s acquiescence to Israel means he will lose next years election in the key races he needs to win meaning the horror that is Trump could well get re-elected.

The sheer scale of damage Trump would cause in a. second term would plunge America into a fascist paramilitary state. His plans to militarise ICE and create massive internment camps are all the ingredients he needs to do that.

The brutal and illegal occupation by Israel of Gaza and the West Bank will have a global price we have not yet paid.

The planet inches closer to self destruction.

  1. Just business as usual for Amerika. Berlin. Dresden. Hiroshima. Nagasaki. Vietnam. Afghanistan. Iraq. They are in for a good old bombing any day of the week.

    • A list of barbarians with the exception of Vietnam that were kept at the gates.
The barbarians are well and truly inside the house now.

    • The bombing of Germany and Japan saved many allied soldiers from dying in an effort to remove a regime that would have been bad for the world .
You cannot compare the current conflict with those in the past. . Hamas deserve to be hunted down and killed the civilian population do not . It should not have been too hard for a powerful army like Isreal has could have taken on Hamas and won

  2. Great to see. Fortunately, in this marginally more democratic country (despite the foreign-controlled media and many subverted politicians) we have more choices. It’s been good to see the Maori Party really standing up for the human rights of Palestinian children not to be thrill-killed by ‘israelis’ for fun, while the Greens insist on condemning both sides.

Remember, Nelson Mandela could have got out of prison early. But he refused to condemn Hamas terrorism! Sorry, I mistyped, apartheid South Africa hated Umkhonto we Sizwe not those other guys.

  3. So muslims will hand America over to Trump? For why? Trump doesn’t like them much. I personally don’t see how America or Israel will make it to the threshold for war crimes, not until they deliberately start aiming for people. If the UN continue to be sympathetic to Hamas and it’s friends then the whole idea of terrorism, oppression, and war crimes, is totally upended. The only good thing to come out of so much death is it’s exposing and tearing apart the woke mindset that has gripped people for the past 20 years – a pretty poor consolation.

  4. Yes, “things” are not looking too good around most parts of this planet are they?

There is a substantial alienated non vote in the Yoo Ess Ayy, so culture wars will likely play out one more time. The yankee devils are rather conservative when it comes down to it, they should have voted Bernie Sanders last time, and nominated AOC this time, who it seems is eligible by age–just–for her to stand for the position of US President.

But the Democratic Party National Committee will not go there, and US Imperialism has two huge aircraft carriers parked off the Gaza coast to make sure Palestinians are finally pulverised to dust. Martyn Bradbury’s long advocacy for “Fortress AO/NZ” makes more sense as time elapses.

  5. And yet who does the US Industrial Military Complex fear the most…..Rhymes with Dump.

More to the point the reason Biden is going to be hammered is due to the worsening domestic economic situation – where the 9% are making more and more and the working class are going further and further behind. The big question for the democrats is can they now change tack and candidate after going all in on Biden.

  6. Biden is imo clearly being set up as a sort of patsy by the Democratic Party. I fully expect a “shock resignation” (or an announcement of him not seeking re-election) next year, probably in August so that there is no time for debates among potential candidates, i.e. they can simply inject someone (possible Gavin Newsome of California or former First Lady Michelle Obama) without any of the normal processes. This will serve to scuttle any momentum Trump (assuming he is ultimately allowed to run) had against Biden and instantly render all of the polling data moot.

    • I hope you’re right, pretty much anyone else would do better than Biden other than Kamala, but the DNC seems really fucking stubborn at the moment even dismissing former Obama white house aids like David Axelrod who are sounding the alarm about Biden’s election chances and have recently trotted out Hillary Clinton to give Biden the kiss of death…

  7. Support for the US war mongering machine was Obama’s greatest flaw too.
But Biden is on another level.

In my opinion the best US Democrat candidate by a wide margin was Peter Buttigieg, unfortunately he is a candidate unelectable in a nation populated by a sizable proportion of homophobic, religious bigots and scientific illiterates.

    • That’s your pick, mine was “Boynie” from Vermont…Mr Buttigieg was a slippery customer with some of his IT business dealings in the primaries.

      • He’s nothing like Ben Shapiro.
He’s achieved good good outcomes on a range of issues. Far better track record than most US politicians.
Check out his CV, Wikipedia is a decent start.

  8. Trumps style fascism has a specific name, Christian Nationalism.

As a Christian I can think of nothing worse.

We may all have to follow Belisarius’ example, and smote them down.

  9. Fair enough. The only problem for me in Americans putting Trump in because of Biden and Israel is for me working out who won the latest chapter of history’s insane dance with gods and religion. Sure as hell, pun intended, there’ll be Americans making financial killings out of whatever happens.

  10. Write to the PM and foreign minister and demand they expel Israeli Ambassador until Israel agree to long term cease fire .As well as boycott goods made in Israel and avoid eating burgers drinking coffee and applying Cosmetics from transnational companies who support Israel in Apartheid dehumanisationbGenocide and instead support family run small biss burger takeways cafes locally made cosmetics and businesses who support Palestine .18500 dead civilians in Gaza including nearly 7000 children thousands of women and 7000 still lying under the rubble and most hospital have been bombed by Israeli military .An attach by Hamas does not justify slaughter of women and children and health care workers

  11. Genocide Joe Must Go!

    Will Trump be worse?

    Of course he will.

But supporting genocide is one crime that cannot go unpunished.
