The National Party’s Stephen Jack re-posted a poem which compared former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to Adolf Hitler.
It’s come to light as deputy leader Nicola Willis labelled an earlier, sexist joke shared by Jack as “disgusting” – and warned a repeat incident may trigger the party’s disciplinary code.
On Sunday, Stuff revealed the Taieri candidate shared a video in 2020 which contained the joke: “I like my Covid like I like my women. 19. And easy to spread.” It was removed after the party was contacted with questions.
National did not respond to requests for comment on the poem.
Look, food inflation is going to hit 15% come June. People can’t afford the prices now and are desperate, what happens when it’s 15%?
We face stagflation and a global recession with war drums beating on a planet that is burning out of control and destroying vast amounts of agricultural land.

A Labour MP has apologised for comparing the National Party to Adolf Hitler over controversial legislation allowing partial asset sales.
While asset sales were being debated in Parliament yesterday, Wigram MP Megan Woods tweeted: “Hitler had a pretty clear manifesto that he campaigned and won on … does this make what he did OK?”.
The “mixed ownership model” legislation narrowly passed by 61 votes to 60.
Today Ms Woods apologised to her 537 twitter followers for drawing parallel between the Government’s actions and those of Hitler that ultimately resulted in the death of six million Jews.

I know, though, that vegetables which I used to bulk buy, and had sacks of onions and carrots, probably potatoes too, sitting in my laundry, simply don’t last. This seems to be a common experience with other people. Last big lot of bought onions, I chopped a lot up and froze them, and the rest are sprouting, a couple have rotted. My parents “ pitted” carrots and potatoes in the ground to store them, but I’ve not looked into it.

You are obviously a townie Martyn. Farmers look first at teeth (to see if they have a strong jaw for chewing raw meat) and then at their bank balance (to prove the first supposition) and they hardly ever bother to look at their arseholes to see if they have been stricken with

It can be seen that farming can be bad for a man’s health and mental capacities and is perhaps an indication that they should not be elected to stressful, demanding positions. The so-called farmer who just buys or controls farms and does not work them, themselves, perhaps the landlord sort, is one that has no understanding of what being a New Zealander is, or should involve, and is also a type that cannot perform political duties adequately in a democracy.
National have a penchant as of late for candidates that are borderline psychopaths although I note Luxon has also gone down the route of picking them on appearances, so not helpful either.
Labour select on the basis of gender woke box ticking so if you are a female lawyer from Freemans Bay or Mt Albert with no practical grip on reality, or the people Labour once represented, then you’re perfect candidate material. Hence the all round incompetence of the past 5 years.

Ethan asleep you mistake – people were having a choice whether they to act like responsible citizens or be fringe dwellers.
