Stuff Columnist and political podcaster Damien Grant is a dangerous libertarian lunatic who will be the first up against the wall when the Revolution comes, of that there can be no doubt, but it will be a clean painless shooting because he’s the best Newspaper columnist in the game!
He’s earned a quick death!
I believe a Newspaper Columnist takes the events of the week and provides a deeper more reflective view that contextualises beyond the headlines.
A good columnist makes us rethink our perspectives, makes us laugh and actually adds to the debate.
Damien was one of the few to highlight the horror of Oranga Tamariki’s reverse uplifts and in last weeks must read column, he actually challenges Key on his insane acquiescence to China and demands Luxon answers whether National are as spineless when it comes to China.
The problem with National is that they are merely a political front for Chinese business interests. Many of their MPs have Chinese business ‘friends’, we’ve seen Chinese Business interests try to buy places on the National Party list for Chinese candidates and of course there was a Chinese spy who was an MP inside our Parliament.
The Left won’t ever discuss Chinese influence in our economy and politics because it’s considered xenophobic, so it lets the Right off the hook.
As China braces itself for its incompetent Covid reopening with all the political, economic and public health emergencies that brings with it, our relationship and dependence on our new economic Overlords will have enormous our ramifications to us…
Warning NZ’s reliance on trade with China unhealthy
In 2008, New Zealand became the first developed country to sign a free trade agreement with the economic giant.
Now about 30% of New Zealand’s overall export goods go to China.
“At the time, the 2008 FTA was regarded as quite an achievement but now it’s actually one of the risks in the relationship because we’ve actually got into a very unhealthy economic dependency with China,” said Anne-Marie Brady a China critic and academic at Canterbury University.
For Māori export goods, 48% are sent to China, which Professor Brady described as a “dangerously high trade dependency.”
“The concern about trade dependency is what we’ve seen in recent years is that China uses trade a weapon,” said Professor Brady.
…we will have a response to the investigation of whether or not the Chinese have been operating a secret policer station on NZ soil shortly and it will be ill timed for Jacinda’s visit to Xi.
NZ will have to call out China for operating a Police base here and the Chinese Businessman who is NZ will have to call out China for operating a Police base here and the Chinese Businessman who is apparently running the property also has connections with political figures here like John Key.
Expect Winston to take the report to the mountain top regarding anti-Chinese Government sentiment and expect National to be very, very, very quiet about it.
Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

How about U.S. domination? Will these same people be demanding that the N.S.A. base be shut down, the Five Eyes be dissolved, trade be conducted outside the USD., and every politician that takes U.S. perks be banished?
The people don’t want a war with China, and they certainly don’t want a thermonuclear WWIII. Simply trade with them.
Look on the brightside – When the CCP does take control of New Zimbabwe it will be bloodless, we will finally get good infrastructure and intergenerational welfare dependency will be gone by Lunchtime…..
heh, dream on Frankus, though a Chinese Roading crew could spend a year or two here, 4 laner from one end of the country to the other, ditto rail line, with smaller tributary tracks and roads attached.
‘ China uses trade a weapon,” said Professor Brady.’-how unique!!!
And this is why we need Winston Raymond Peters.
