Surprise, surprise – Chinese NZers love the National Party

No surprises here…

Poll shows large majority of Chinese New Zealanders still favour National over Labour

A strong majority of Chinese New Zealanders say they still prefer National to Labour, even though they’re pretty happy with the government’s Covid response.

…with National’s continued acquiescence to Beijing with polices that benefit China, with private Chinese business dealings that benefit National MPs, and of course a former spy trainer in their Caucus WHY WOULDN’T Chinese NZers love the National Party?

That’s why National have no problem with mass immigration from China, because it inflates property speculation,  keeps National’s Dairy mates afloat AND provides National with enormous voting support.

The question isn’t about National being little more than a front for Chinese Business interests, the question is what are the rest of us going to do about it with Uyghur internment camps, appalling human rights abuses, a mass surveillance Orwellian State and  the possibility of a hot war in the South China Sea.

At some point National has to choose between China’s interests and NZ’s interests.

  1. That is why many NZers don’t like or have much time for some of the Chinese that weren’t born here many are totally different from the ones that were born and raised here. When I listened to one of the ladies being interviewed about voting she spoke about I and me not us and we. Who let them in our country? and so many of them. I would like to know if there is any difference in the voting preferences of NZ born Chinese compared to those that have immigrated here.

    • NZ born Chinese compared to those that have immigrated here.

Yes. Also, those who have immigrated here, – whether or not they have taken our citizenship. Remember that they don’t need to do that, so some may have 100% loyalty to the CCP, and not see NZ as anything much other than an outpost of the CCP, and yet they can still vote here in AO/NZ! To me, that is grotesquely wrong!!

(And in order to get citizenship, they should need to know a little of our history, our culture, our values and our language!!)

  2. The nats have already made their choice, and it’s to continue lining their own pockets by allowing the Chinese to eventually own this countries infrastructure, and food production base… The “choice” will have to be made for them, and the only one we can afford to make, is to eradicate any, and all influence the nats still have.. That means a mass cleanout of their operatives within the public service, Removal from the sinecures on boards of banks, and companies that are vital to NZ’s economic health.. Deregistering the national party until they can demonstrate that they are not harboring foreign agents, who are actively undermining our sovereignty… Banning them from using the utterly misleading title of the “National” party, as they clearly aren’t.. In truth, the only name that is honest is the “colonial” party… In truth, they stand for the eventual subjugation of the population to whomever stumps up the money first.. Not so long ago they executed people like this, for sedition, and conspiring to usurp what democracy we still possess…

    • Chinese to eventually own this countries infrastructure, and food production base

To own us body and soul, mind and spirit. They already own hundreds of thousands of hectares of our land, of the body of Aotearoa! (Many signed off recently by Eugenie.) To me, this should be a crime. The land itself is not ours to give away, not ours to sell off, not ours to sign over to foreign powers. We can only hold it in TRUST for the future. Without this land, we have NOTHING. We have no country.

And they own billions of litres of our best water, our underground aquifers are being drained of, siphoned away to that vampire nation. Again, much signed off by sweet innocent Eugenie, even when local groups including local Iwi were crying out to her, begging her to NOT DO THAT! Even while our army had to be brought in to supply water up North. Even while Aucklanders had to ration their showers. Even while many towns have water supply problems, particularly good water. (And in the process, the China water sales creating billions more plastic bottles of toxic waste!)

For pity’s sake, please WAKE UP, people! Are you all going to sleep forever?

I think that is the Key to it all Martyn.

  4. At some point National has to choose between China’s interests and NZ’s interests.

Pretty sure they already did – a long time ago.

  5. If we are going to start deciding who we let in on the basis of their home country’s policies then surely Americans should be the first to be restricted? Let’s just start with the fact that it recently overthrew the democratic government of Bolivia, is currently engaged in around seven wars, and is trying to start wars with Iran, Russia, China, Nicaragua and Venezuela, and is currently responsible for trying to see as many people die as possible in Venezuela and Iran through embargos that include making sure as many die from Covid-19 as possible.

  6. This article is so xenophobic and disrespectful towards all those of Chinese descent. What is this? Every single day asians are being subject to increasing racism due to covid. Its like its perfectly fine to be racist and write racist articles like this because racism doesn’t apply to the Chinese/asians. disgusting.

    • Beth, you are welcome to discuss any of the comments on the page, to say where you disagree with what is said, or to call out something specific if you find it racist. That would be a more effective way of dealing with actual racism, and of improving the way we all communicate.
