When the MeToo movement erupted on twitter minus any mainstream media guardians to water its rawness down, it revealed the shocking enormity of harassment and abuse women globally contended with every day of their lives.
It became a rallying call to those who had never seen any justice from a system built upon beyond reasonable doubt guilt, the rage and resentment was genuine and it demanded men look at their privilege and their relationship with consent.
It also spearheaded public opinion against men who had numerous complaints against them and put pressure upon those employing them to be sacked or boycotted.
In the face of this movement, Trump’s obscene pussy grabbing misogyny has seemed like a never ending insult to injury.
With every mob justice however, there is always a moment when it ceases being just and simply becomes vengeance.
The post MeToo cultural landscape demands that every women is believed, reduces the evidential threshold to anything anyone says on twitter and decries due process as white cismale heteronormative privilege.
In such an unforgiving burnt earth world, the backlash has been equally brutal.
In the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation spectacle, mothers and fathers watched the feeding frenzy and ended up not fearing their daughters would be sexually assaulted, but feared their sons would be accused of it. Off the back of this fiasco, Trump actually romped home in the 2018 midterms by extending the Republican majority in the Senate.
It wasn’t MetToo witch hunts people started fearing, it was MeToo witch trials where mere accusation was all that was required for guilt.
No one wanted to return to Salem.
We saw it recently in NZ when The Spinoff and numerous feminist journalists at Fairfax insinuated that the Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern not only knew about a sexual assault but covered it up. Labour Party Board members overseeing harassment complaints were defamed and the Labour Party President lost his job.
The entire Spinoff story and coverage by Fairfax Feminists were based in the ‘if a women says it, it must be true’ woke journalism. The story however imploded after it turned out the woman complaining left out crucial details and doctored evidence.
The full ramifications of that Whaleoil level of political journalism hasn’t played out yet with possible defamation action against The Spinoff pending the week after the 2020 election.
Enter Joe Biden and the claim against him that he sexually assaulted a woman over two decades ago. For Democrats who were so certain that a woman claiming she was sexually assaulted was all that was needed for the evisceration of Brett Kavanaugh, the allegation against Biden and their wilful ignoring of that allegation makes them look hollow and hypocritical.
It also disgusting allows for Trump to say this…

The woke mantra of always believing the accuser has turned on the Democrats and bitten Biden. If it was good enough to destroy Kavanaugh’s reputation using just an allegation, then it’s good enough to destroy Biden’s as well.
This won’t end well for anyone and the need for honest and open healing and reflection on how men and women treat one another seems like light years away.

Adding to my comment in support of Metoo; the actor accused of sexual abuse was Casey Affleck, brother of Ben. He paid out an undisclosed sum of money to two women co-workers who were suing him for over $1m. Later he withdrew from the Academy awards ceremony, not wanting to cause more dissension by appearing.
Few women are receiving money from their complaints. Many of them complain reluctantly, thinking they need to tell the truth even if it puts them in the firing line. Another woman has laid a complaint of sexual harassment against Joe Biden. I think your ‘Mr Nice Guy’ is a sleaze bag. Jesse Jackson was quoted in a recent Intercept article saying Biden was getting crucial support from black voters because they mistakenly thought he shared Obama’s civil rights record.
How many people died from Trump’s advice to take disinfectant? I heard one, but it’s likely there were more.
The fuxkwit Dems doing what they always do. If they can’t find an obedient corporate lackey, they just throw the election to their frenemies in the Republican party. They spiked Bernie’s chances and probably hope to parachute the egregious Hillary Clinton in again at the last minute if Biden crashes and burns.
