Mueller Testimony sinks Democrat hopes – less crusading investigator – more Mr Magoo

The Mueller Testimony overnight has been an utter failure.

Dems hoped that Mueller would televise his report to an entertainment focused electorate & relight the debate because the vast majority of American’s hadn’t read the report,  but unfortunately Mueller’s stumbling Mr Magoo performance failed to make him look crusading.

He looked tired, old and grumpy.

The Dems attempts to ‘Blame Russia’ for Trumps win allows them to let themselves off the hook – they selected a terrible candidate in Hillary, they embraced neoliberal free market globalisation that left the working classes behind and they used a rigged primary process to kill off Sanders so their need to blame Russia is as self-serving as it is inane.

If this was the last hope to ignite Americans against the Orange fascist that is Trump, it is a total failure. The mainstream media have spent years breathlessly screaming Trump was guilty, the fact Mueller could never indict a sitting US President means the final report was always going to underwhelm.

Sadly it is easier for liberal Americans to blame Russia for Trump’s victory than acknowledge their own role in alienating the working classes who elected him.

As much as it sickens me to say, Trump still has a 60% of winning next year.

  1. “He looked tired, old and grumpy”

Wouldn’t you Martyn after putting up with Trump’s shenanigans for 2 years??

    • Well I want to inform you that Mueller was the lead investigator that validated George Bushs WMD claims. Yanks swim in swamps get leaches.

  2. Not a fan of Trump, but the Democrats need to get over themselves. With a large part of the US being referred to as “the rust belt” it shouldn’t be at all surprising that the nation voted for someone promising more jobs and to ‘make America great again’. The Dems need to stop fighting over who is the most progressive and actually start working for the people.

  3. The Russia narrative is neither here nor there to the average voter….Why don’t the Dems attack his policies?..oh thats right..because when it comes to issues of the Economy, wages, state powers etc Trumps policies aren’t that different from their own…to all intents and purposes they both serve the same masters.

  4. If Trump has a “60% chance of winning next year”, how are Biden, Sanders, and Warren able to beat him handily in current polls? I’m predicting UK will have a harder time displacing Boris Johnson before he does irreversible damage to his own country. By the way, we don’t use that word “crusading” in this country anymore.

    • Why ever not? The word fits the point Martin was making perfectly. Or don’t you know your history?
